RIGHTEOUSNESS: OUR WATCH WORD

Text of discourse: Luke 5:1-END Reference text: Luke 5: 32 - 38 “I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. And they said unto him, why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the Pharisee; but thine eat and drink? And he said unto them, can ye make the children of the. bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days. And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old. And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish. But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved.” 1.1 The Saviour of mankind to bring all sinners to repentance Brethren, our Lord Jesus Christ came for the sinners, to get them refrain from sins, because this kingdom does not require any iota of sin. He came to bring all the sinners to repentance. Therefore, you must refrain and forsake all acts of sinfulness and turn a new leaf. The issue goes beyond mere preaching of gospel, visioning, praying and singing, for the ultimate fact is that you must refrain from sin and be pure and holy as the Lord. His coming in this advent is also to enjoin us to refrain from and forsake sin and be pure and holy as He is. This is not the time to preach, give vision, continue in sins, only to continue to lament and confess that you are a woeful sinner and so, should be pitied by God. This is the time for us to refrain from our sins and remain as pure and holy as He is. 1.2 Refrain from sins If you know you are a sinner, then you must refrain from all manners of sin, even as it is being preached here to you from January 1st to December 31st yearly. You are being advised to refrain from sins, and you must do just that, because once you refrain from sins, they will depart from you. What does it profit you to continue in sinfulness instead of forsaking them? Why do you come here daily if you can not forsake sin? No matter how long you come here, even for the next twenty years, if you do not forsake sin, it profits you nothing. You come in with your sins and you have been admonished to refrain from them but you refuse. You have rather preferred to abide in sinfulness, yet you are coming in here daily. What is the need of coming here when you are not prepared to forsake your sins? It is said, new wine must be put into new bottles and both are preserved. This implies that, you must refrain from sins, for when you forsake sins, then can you be admitted into this kingdom. Members of the various church denominations abide in sin because they do not know what they are doing. What justification do you in this kingdom have as you remain in sin? In this last dispensation, no act of sinfulness is required. This is therefore, the time to refrain from sin and repent of all evil tendencies. You are not told to bath with water before being cleansed. You are told to refrain from and repent of those sins. That is what I want everyone to accomplish. You should refrain from sin and come closer to God. The inhabitants of the world do not know what they are doing, they do not know that they should refrain from sin but you are aware of this fact. That is why Brotherhood of the Cross and Star stands out unique and distinct amongst all other religious denominations. This kingdom has nothing to do with sin. The difference between Brotherhood of the Cross and Star (BCS) and the churches is that, the churches are still indulging in all kinds of sin and have not repented, yet they regard themselves as being pure and holy. But Brotherhood of the Cross and Star does not condone sinfulness, therefore, if you are in this kingdom and are aware you are a sinner, then, the only solution is repentance Once you refrain and repent of your sin, you are made pure. Refer to 1st John 3:1- end. 1.3 Are you prepared? What lesson have you drawn from the above text? When the truth is being revealed, you pretend to have fallen into deep sleep and have not heard anything, as though you are deaf; The truth is here revealed as it is said, "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be, but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him. For we shall see Him as he is. And everyman that hath this hope in Him purifieth himself, even as He is pure”. (1 John 3:2-3) Are you as pure as He is? You are still waiting for the truth. You claim to be a sinner, why not repent from sin and follow Him? Repent from all your sins, for it is repentance that is required of all of us. We are no more in the old world; we are in the new world and no sinner has a place in this new world, which is God's Kingdom. He that committed sin is not the son of God, but of the devil (Satan). He that hateth his brother is not of God but of Satan, The scripture has revealed everything unto us. Here in Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, we do not tell lies, steal, fornicate or indulge in any diabolical act. Brotherhood is not given to deceitfulness, anger or any sinful acts. However, if you go to any Bethel now, you will witness people quarrelling, fighting, indulging in other inimical acts as done in Roman Catholic, Presbyterian Church and other places of the world. Then, what is the difference between you who comes here daily and the people of the world? Read again 1 John 3:2-7. 1.4 Forsake evil acts You have seen all virtues clearly displayed for you to emulate. Here in Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, it is preached daily that you should forsake sinfulness but you have refused to hearken to this advice. In the same vein, you have been preaching to others about repentance, how justified are you? I do not have any business with sin. Have you not seen love, truth, humility and righteousness here? How can you tell another person to come into this kingdom while you are still telling lies, stealing and committing all forms of sins? In that case, what do you expect the convert to do as he or she comes? For the sake of this Kingdom, the 'sheep' is separated from the 'goat'. In this fold, we have nothing to do with sin. This explains why we do not lie, indulge in diabology, cunningness, hatred etc. The virtues are naturally seen on us and so we learn to practise them. When you fight, tell lies and do all sorts of unwholesome things and afterwards you come here, does it mean a child of God can indulge in sin? Can you classify those who neither fear God nor hearken to His injunctions as children of God? Refer to 11 Peter 3 13- 14 “Nevertheless, we according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless And besides this. giving all diligence, add to your faith, virtue, and to virtue, knowledge: And to knowledge, temperance. and to temperance, patience, and to patience, godliness: And to godliness, brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness, charity For if these things be in you, and abound they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off. and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins Wherefore brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure, for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall” 1.5 Be steadfast in God Brethren, once the truth is being revealed, everywhere is in total silence. I do not have any business with sinners. I came not for the righteous but unto sinners who are ready to repent of their sins You attest to the fact that I do not tell lies and if you come here with lies, with what shall you depart home? I do not get angry but you keep coming here with acrimony I do not indulge in diabolical practice yet you are seriously involved in it and you are neck deep in fornication. What then are you coming here for? Are you not coming here (Brotherhood of the Cross and Star) to cause confusion? It should be noted that such practices are not tolerated in this kingdom. I do not want any iota of sin here. I did not come here to preach unto you because I am not a preacher, but I came to lead you to practise the preaching and injunctions of God. We are in this kingdom of God because we are the children of love, hence we are abiding together in love. No fighting, quarrelling, anger, etc. but brotherly and sisterly love abound everywhere. That is why we are required to love one another. 1.6 Good character reveals a true Brotherhood of the Cross and Star member. Those who were sent to preach had accomplished their work. It is left for you to repent, if you know that you are a sinner and practise the word of God, and live together in love. Be pure as God is so that we may be seen as brethren wherever we are. If you come in here giving visions for more than ten hours, it is of no benefit if you do not practise God's words. In the same vein, if you come in here preaching the good tidings from morning till night, there is no need if you do not put into practise the injunctions of God. A Roman Catholic person does not practise the gospel. You claim to be a Brotherhood yet you are not practising the gospel. The entire world has not practised the gospel. That means you are the same with them. Why then do you want the people of the world to come in here? Wherever you are, if you exhibit the virtue of love for one another, the worldly people will identify you as a true Brotherhood. But if you come in here to steal other people's shoes, will the people not accuse Brotherhood of stealing? If there should be out-burst of fight here, will the people not link Brotherhood with violence? It is presently acclaimed that Brotherhood members are very troublesome and cruel. Are you not the person perpetrating the trouble and confusions here? You claim to have derived no benefit from coming here, if I may ask, what benefit have you brought in here? You have no love for one another, neither are you identified with truth nor righteousness, then how can you have peace? How will you be happy? You are a witness to the virtues exhibited here by me. Why not emulate them? 1.7 No room for confusionists in Brotherhood of the Cross and Star I do not invite anybody into this kingdom; neither do I drive any person out of it. I do not need to beg people to do anything here rather; I am showing the practical side of Brotherhood which constitutes, love, joy, happiness, righteousness, meekness and truth. If you are truthful, repent and forsake all manners of sinfulness, then come into this kingdom and lead a new life. That is what is required of you. Do not come here to steal, fornicate, be stubborn, lie, get angry etc. If you do these, you are causing confusion and this place has no room for confusionists. In this fold, I do not condemn anybody, I do not judge or get angry with anyone. I do not hate anybody, for there is no hatred here. That is why we neither indulge nor believe in diabolical practises. We do not believe in the existence of apparition, mermaid or anything devilish. Have you seen any of those things here? If you so much love Brotherhood, then refrain from sin so that the virtues may be seen in you. May my peace and blessings abide with the entire world, now and forever more Amen. THANK YOU FATHER.
