First lesson: Matthew 5:22
“But I say unto you, that whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment; and whosoever shall say to his brother,
Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.”
Second lesson: James 3: 6
"And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell."
Golden Text: Matthew 12:32
"And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven, neither in this world, neither in the world to come."
2.1 Let no evil communication proceed out of your mouth
Brethren, the above Bible texts constitute the theme of our lesson this morning. There is every element of truth in this statement "And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him, but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come." It is the same as the passage which says, “..How difficult is it for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God! For it is easier for a carmel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God." It is also exactly as the story of Shylock and Anthony. Anthony was indebted to Shylock to the tune of a reasonable sum of money. If Anthony was unable to refund, Shylock was to get a pound of flesh from near his heart. During the judgement, it was held that a pound of flesh should be taken from Anthony's body exactly as earlier agreed but that no drop of blood should spill on the ground. How will it be possible to cut off a pound of flesh from a person's body without spilling blood? How will a carmel pass through the eye of a needle? How will it be possible that when you blaspheme against the Son of Man, you will be forgiven?
2.2 The word is God
Our Lord Jesus Christ said, “I and the Father are one”, God is the word. It is said that whoever makes blasphemous statements will not be forgiven; such a person stands to perish. Whoever allows evil communication to proceed out of his mouth is defenseless. The message here is short, do not speak evil words. Do not speak evil because what brings confusion and trouble into the world, is evil utterance. Who is the Holy Spirit? Is it not the word?
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." That is why we are told not to utter evil words. Do not make vile statements. Whenever evil words proceed out of your mouth, you have reached your wits end.
2.3 The word can make and unmake
Your mother or father does not kill you, it is the word of your mouth that kills you. Whoever speaks evil is in danger of such a word rebouncing on him. The word is God. That means, when you speak evil words, you have defiled and disgraced God. When you speak evil words, these words will boomerang and this alone makes peace in your life an illusion. You are afraid of witchcraft, mermaid and apparition; what is witchcraft? It is the word. What is mermaid? It is the word. What is apparition, it is the word. All these evil tendencies are words. Who is the Holy Spirit? It is the word of God. What is the evil spirit? Is it not evil words spoken by men?
2.4 Insinuation is satanic
Whoever professes to be a man of God but does not bridle his tongue, his religion is vain. In many things we offend, but if there is any person who does not offend with his tongue, such a person is perfect. You can be forgiven if you smite someone; refuse somebody food or you refuse giving alms, but the moment you say to somebody, “woe betide you”, or rain abuses on him, it will not be forgiven you.
You are witnesses to the fact that you can erect and handover a magnificent building to a person gratis, but when any evil word proceeds out of your mouth to defile the beneficiary, it makes the gift useless and worthless to him. You can get hold of somebody and smite him hard, a bystander may instigate that you should hit him really hard, torture and torment him. He will no longer be crossed with you but rather with the person insinuating. Something serious can happen to you, instead of somebody coming to console you he will begin to fan the ember of anger that it happens to you because you are so proud, pompous and arrogant. You may forget about what is happening to you and turn to vent your anger for his insinuations.
2.5 Good words are better than gold
That is why it is said whosoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, shall be forgiven but whosoever speaks evil against the Holy Spirit, shall not be forgiven neither in this world, nor in the world to come. What sets fire into the entire world is the evil words that proceed out of your mouth. The word is like a piece of dry bamboo, the moment it is broken, that ends it, there will be no way of joining it again.
You have read the first lesson which says that whosoever is angry with his brother, is in danger of judgement: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council of the Sanhedrin; but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be liable to the punishment of hell fire. No pleading will help you out. It confirms the statement of our Lord Jesus Christ which says, “whosoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come”.
2.6 The word is spirit and truth because it can manifest
Food is carnal, cloth is carnal, house is carnal and all the things you see around you are carnal, but the word is spiritual. Because of this, we should be very cautious about what we say. We should not allow evil communication to proceed out of our mouths. Whatever will be capable of defiling any person should not be spoken. If you say something out of joke, it must stand. If you say it in a playful way, it must stand. When you speak in annoyance, it must stand because the word is God. That is why you are advised to “be swift to hear, slow to speak and slow to wrath”.
Anything you refer to as witch, is the word. There is nothing called mermaid apart from the word. There is no other thing you refer to as apparition excepting the word. The word gives life, the word also kills. The word impoverishes people; and the word also cures your illness. The whites have manufactured every other thing but they have not manufactured the "word."
We should not toy with the word, because the word is God. Anybody who speaks vile words has no forgiveness. Do not think that it is that person or the other man who wants to kill or harm you, it is the evil words from your mouth which are capable of killing you. When somebody fires a gun with bullets at another person, if the person dies, can he withdraw the bullets from the deceased and make him whole and alive again?
2.7 Man lives by the word of God
Our Lord Jesus Christ who is the Son of God, and God himself knows the efficacy of words and that is why he says that “whosoever shall say to his brother, 'Raca', shall be in danger of the council”. He alone understands that the word is God, that is why he makes no evil utterances. That was why when Satan told Him, "If you are really the Son of God, command that this stone be made bread." He answered saying, "It has been written, man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God”. Good words bring forth goodness and evil words bring forth evil things. There are good words in the mouth of a parrot but that bird starts first with evil parroting.
2.8 The word, when spoken, is not amendable
You acclaim to be wise people, professors. You claim you can go to the moon, the stars and to the planets. Why do you not understand that when evil words proceed out of your mouth, these words are capable of killing you.
If you have food to give to somebody who has not got food, do so but if you do not have, speak no evil against him; leave him alone. Even if it is your wife, do not speak evil against her. If you beat her up as you take delight in beating people up, because you will not share in the pain that is left to you; but be sure you do not speak what is evil.
There is nothing in this world capable of destroying as the word. If you damage somebody's property, it is easier to buy or mend it for him, but the word is not amendable. When at the battle field, unless the commander orders that soldiers should shoot, they cannot open fire. If you are taken to a court, if the Chief Judge does not sentence you to any terms of imprisonment or fine, you cannot be convicted. If you go to somebody's house and he brings out a bag full of money and places before you with the intention of giving it to you, you cannot dip your hands into the bag to take the money unless he tells you to do so.
2.9 Blasphemy amounts to resistance to the Holy Spirit
Whoever does anything to distort the word, has defiled himself, and has himself to blame. Brethren, I do not want to take you further because this is a very short and explicit gospel, which is understood by you, me and all the inhabitants of the world. It is merely given so that you will know your stand; what you are doing, and the punishment you are inflicting upon yourself and upon the whole world. It is said, you who are uncircumcised in the heart and in the ear, you continue to resist the will of the Holy Spirit. Do you not realise that when you speak evil that you are resisting the Holy Spirit? The scripture states that on the day of judgement every person will recount the vain words that proceeded from his mouth. The hand does not cause trouble in the world, the legs do not, food does not, money does not, but evil words cause a lot of trouble in the world.
2.10 Only gentle and peaceful words can rebuild the world
Neither money, nor house, nor food can rebuild the world. The only thing that can perfect the world is good words and the Holy Spirit. Read the first lesson. Be attentive to what happens, what will happen and what had happened.
First lesson: Matthew 5:22
“But I say unto you, that whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment; and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire”.
Brethren, have you heard that? It is the same statement made by our Lord Jesus Christ that whosoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, shall be forgiven but whosoever speaks evil, distorts the word, defiles a man, is defiling himself and no other person. Similarly, whoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. It is a clear thing that your punishment in hell-fire starts immediately you make such utterances, even in a jovial manner.
2.11 Without the word there is nothing made that was made
Right from now that you have known that the word is God, you have also realised that all that proceeds out of your mouth is God. You should know how to control your tongue, even if somebody wants to pluck out your eyes you will learn to keep quiet. What was used in creating the world? It was the word. What was the word. Without the word, there is nothing made that was made. The word kills and also keeps alive. If right from today the inhabitants of the world including angels retrace their steps and learn to speak good words, you will see what men will be capable of doing throughout the world. Somebody can blink his eyes at you, frown his face, or make some unpleasant gestures, but all these can be forgiven him. Somebody who rolls on the ground, weeps, wails and laments, will be forgiven. When you speak evil, it is unpardonable.
2.12 Action speaks louder than words
The hawk once told God that it needs something for food. God sent it to the world to pick on whatever it would find and make it its food. So the hawk went in the first instance and picked on the young of an owl. The mother owl said nothing but kept quiet. On arrival God asked the hawk what the mother owl had said when its young was carried away. When God was told that the mother owl said nothing, the hawk was asked to return the young owl immediately, since it could not discern the owl's mind. The hawk was sent back to look for another prey. This time, it picked a chick. When the hen saw this, it shouted and pursued the hawk and nearly collected back the chick. The hawk made up its mind that since it had narrowly escaped from such a ferocious attack, it will not go there again. When the story was told to the Almighty God, He told the hawk that the chick will be its food for that was all the hen could do. And up till now the chick has always been the food for the hawk.
2.13 How the word acts
If you do know that the word is God, you should not defile, misuse, or distort it. Should you try to misuse it, then you have misused yourself. All the words you speak come to manifest in you. Somebody may exclaim that, he will die in an accident. It has been written against him. At anytime, he will die in an accident. Another person may say that he will die, no matter the circumstances, he will also die because he has made the pronouncement upon himself. In your office you may intend to take some casual leave to attend to some pressing family problems. For whatever reason you may deceive your head of department that an elderly person in your family is dead. Your reason will be sound enough for the leave to be granted. Not long after, an elderly person in your family actually dies. In another circumstance, you may claim that you are sick and so apply for sick leave, whereas you are perfectly well. Not long after, the vibration of the word would go forward and bounce back as a boomerang and become fulfilled. Sickness will accordingly beset you. You may deny that you have no money whereas you have some money in the house, not long after, you will not find money left in your house. At times you may help people, but thereafter you playfully say that you will no longer do any such thing to anybody again, and after sometimes you can no longer do good to people. This is the efficacy of words.
2.14 It is your mouth that kills you
When you say that your village is very bad, that there is no good thing in it, where will you get the good thing from? Have you not realised the words which say, “whosoever speaks against the Son of Man, shall be forgiven”: but does it say whosoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will be forgiven? You make the pronouncements upon yourself that when you do good, you are paid back with evil. Then who will ever do good to you when you have already made evil pronouncements upon yourself? When you say “God does not love me, God has departed from me, God has punished me, God does not exist”. These words stand manifested. There is a local adage which says that "the mouth of a monkey kills the monkey and not the' monkey itself." It is your mouth that kills you.
2.15 The tongue is only a messenger
It is out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. An evil man speaks from the evil treasures of his heart. A good man speaks out of the good treasures of his heart. The tongue is only a messenger. If it is not sent, it will not go on an errand. That is why it is said "...Whosoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit..." You can deny any person food or garment or accommodation or anything at all; but do not say anything that is evil against any person. What we have to realize is that he who comes from heaven is greater than he who is on earth. He who comes from earth, speaks about earthly things, what he hears and what he sees on earth. The one in heaven speaks what he hears and what he sees in heaven but very many people do not believe in him. Always listen to him even if somebody beats you up, do not mind so much about the pains, always listen to your spirit.
2.16 Murder is a product of anger
In the 1st lesson mention is made about any person who is angry, this is because every evil thing derives from anger. It is with anger that you can speak evil words. Moses said that “whosoever kills will be killed”, but our Lord Jesus Christ said “whosoever is angry”, because killing emanates from anger. Our Lord Jesus Christ was examining the cause and effect. Killing is the effect of the matter. Moses said “whosoever kills”, but our Lord Jesus Christ knows that anger is the cause of the effect. What prompts one to kill is anger; that is why he says, "Whosoever is angry, is liable to judgement.”
2.17 The word does everything
You will agree with me today that everything in the world is created by God. You will also agree with me that without God there is nothing that exists arid nothing would exist in the world. Flesh and blood has no work at all to do. Money has nothing to do. There is nothing in the world including trees which has anything to do. It is the word, which is God who does everything in the world. If you go to a school, what is used there? Is it not the word at work? In the law court, who delivers the judgment? Is it not the word? If you go to the market place, who is buying and selling? Is it not the word? When you go to church to worship, who is preaching and practising the word? Is it not the word? If you go to a juju priest, what produces the concoction? Is it not the word? If you go to the scientists, who is a scientist? Is it not the word? If you go to all the secret societies, you will see that they operate through the word. All those who make invocations at the cemetery, use the word.
2.18 Everything is teleguided by the word
It is similar to your going to somebody's house and he complains to you that he is worried by mermaid, witch and apparition and seeks a charm from you for his protection. You may tell him to kneel down and ask whether he believes in our Lord Jesus Christ. You will pray for him when he answers in the affirmative. In the process, you will mention all his heart desires, like “your troubles are gone from today, nothing disturbs your life again, from today you will see and know peace”. These words will become flesh, the words will certainly make him recuperate and his health restored.
If you go to a juju priest, he will gather his materials together and invite you to pray. He may direct you to say "God of heaven and of earth, right from today, I do not want persecutions, I want my house to be at peace”. The juju priest himself will add more words. What do you think is doing the work here? Is it not prayer? Is it not the word?
You have erred when you say that you have never prepared any charm against any person. Have you not been raining curses on somebody? You have erred when you say you have never killed somebody's fowl. What about all you have been uttering? That God should punish somebody or that a person should die or that he should be impoverished. That is just the act you are counting. You have killed the man. If you should go to a juju priest and request that he should prepare for you something which will kill your fellow man, by a motor accident or a gun shot, these are evil words emanating from your evil thoughts that act.
2.19 Avoid negative application of words
It is the word that does everything in the world. Someone can prepare a certain concoction and spread on the road, the aim of which is to kill Okon Asuquo, or Edet or Bassey if they pass along the road. Note that he only mentioned Okon Asuquo; and maybe two or three other persons. Everybody will pass freely through that road, but immediately Okon Asuquo or Edet or Bassey will pass through the road, something will happen to them. It is the materialization of the evil pronouncements. It is not caused by the leaders, nor mud, nor the root or bark of tree used in making the concoction. It is the word. You have spoken vile words that will not enable one to grow in righteousness and grace of God.
2.20 Name influences a man
Because you do not realize the power of the word and that the word is God, that is why you go on giving your children names which by interpretation will mean "sickness," "darkness," "hatred," "bad omen," "dead," "I am not happy," "poverty," "what have I done to them," "I will never be happy," "bad things," and so on. These names have their effects on the bearers; the names wage war against the bearers. All names have their meanings. That is why, you may answer three names, some of which are opposite the other. The opposite names which are incompatible will continue to fight against themselves. This action might create untold hardship for the owner.
Today you have realized that there is no wise person in the world. There is neither ghost, nor mermaid, nor apparition nor witch. The only phenomenon who exists in the world is the word. By your words you are justified and by your words you are condemned. When you say you are a poor man, you must certainly be poor, no matter how much money you struggle to get, you will be poor. When you say that your family is poor, until the end of the world, your family will remain poor.
2.21 It is neither the hand nor the leg, but the mouth which produces your food
God has at all times existed here in the world but the world has never known Him. When you ask somebody not to break your hands because you use it to earn a living, I am telling you that you do not use the hand to earn a living but rather you use the word of your mouth, which is God. When you warn somebody not to break your tinny legs because you use them in traveling to places to fend for yourself, it is not the legs which give you food but the words of your mouth.
Whatever you require, speak the word Heaven and earth will pass away but there is no word that comes out of your mouth which will not be manifested. Can you now realize how you are cursing and blaspheming against the Holy Spirit? Can you realize how you allow evil communication to proceed out of your mouth? Who permits you to speak vile? Have you not realized that this teaching is the recondite wisdom of God, which no person possesses since the world was.
2.22 This is the era of re-generation
If you watch very carefully from January to December, every year, you will notice that no evil communication proceeds out of my mouth. It is what I mind most in the realisation that the word is God. Perfect word means the Holy Spirit. It is the word of peace, of love, of patience, of faith, of meekness, of humility, and of temperance. As the word was used in the past generations in destroying the world, so will the word be used in this age for recreation. This is the time when everything is recreated. You are now being remoulded and given a new life. I should not have given you this gospel because it is higher and beyond your comprehension. That is why those who were seeking for the knowledge of truth get startled on hearing this because they would claim that it would have been given to men who have attended certain heights in life and not to mean persons. Our Lord Jesus Christ had already observed that the wise, the rich and prominent men have been called but they rejected the invitation. I came for the learned, the wise, the professors, the scientists, and those who claim to be knowledgeable to hand down this wisdom to them to aid them in performing their roles but they refused. But now I have no other alternative than to go to the streets, the roadside, hedges and everywhere, in order to impart these rare words of wisdom to you, the ignorant and uninformed.
2.23 Whoever does not offend with his tongue is perfect
Can you now realize that the word is God? The word brings into existence, anything which did not exist. The words also cause what is in existence to terminate. If you have been very sick, and you say, "from now on I will not be sick again," from that time on, you will not be sick again. If you also say, "right from today, my town is good, there is no more evil in it, the inhabitants are all children of God”; that will come to pass. It will not even need your going to that village or town, you will notice that the Father will systematically change them. When you say, "I love everybody and everybody loves me, I have no problem anywhere, nothing happens to or worries me." When you say these, lie down and sleep, nothing will happen to you. That is why it is said, in many things we do offend, but whoever does not offend with his tongue, such a person is righteous. He can control himself, and can also control the whole world.
2.24 Good words are more precious than gold
How much money did Isaac give his son, Jacob? You are witnesses that Isaac gave no money to Jacob. When Esua returned and asked for his own blessing Isaac told him that there was no other blessing. Isaac used the same word of mouth without realizing himself what the word stood for. The moment you realize that the word is everything, and that the word is God, you will take control of yourself and be very cautious of what you say. When you know what the word is, as you have done from today, your ears and eyes will be opened. You will only say that which is good.
Every time God is always existing here with us, but we do not recognize him. Have you not realized that God dwells within you; in your mouth, beside you, inside your organs, but you have never taken cognizance of this. The Father has revealed and laid bare all these things to all the four corners of the world so that they will be saved.
You have noticed that our Lord Jesus Christ spoke in parables. For without parables did he not speak. He had a different mission altogether. Read our second lesson. Concentrate as you go through the second lesson so that you can know exactly what is happening in your marital homes, what happens between parents and children, in villages, towns, prayer houses and churches, in the market places, offices and every where in the world.
Second lessons: James 3:6
"And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.”
Brethren, have you heard that? It is not the tongue but the word that is being referred to. The tongue is merely a messenger. Whatever you send it to do, it will certainly do. Through it, infirmities are healed, through it the dead rise, through it, the lame walk and through it many wonderful works are done. When you misuse or mislead the tongue, you are inviting trouble and there is no forgiveness whatever. From today, let us retrace our steps. We must not allow evil communication to proceed out of our mouth. Instead of saying that which is evil, we should become mute.
2.25 The word kills and keeps alive
God the Word is the ruler of heaven and earth. That is why our Lord Jesus Christ said, "I am the Alpha and the Omega which means he is good, he is evil. Our Lord Jesus Christ spoke and the dead rose, he spoke and the lame walked, and he also spoke and the leper was cleansed. He saw a fig tree and went near thinking he would get some fruits to eat from it and when he saw no fruits, he cursed the tree. The tree withered away and died. This shows to you what sort of man our Lord Jesus Christ was. John the Baptist bore eloquent testimony about him when he said,
"I indeed baptise you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, he shall baptise you with the Holy Ghost and with fire."
Our Lord Jesus Christ spoke and a great multitude followed him. He spoke again and they all dispersed leaving only twelve. You will realize now that he is the beginning and the end; the alpha and omega. If you joke with him, it means you are joking with fire. He is the only one who knows that the word is God. Because being the Son of God, he was God himself. You cannot find God elsewhere except in the word.
2.26 The universal teaching
The word is man, the word is the earth, the word is the sun, the word is the moon, the word is fishes in the water and everything you can think of. This wonderful teaching is not the kind of teaching that should be given to a great crowd. It should have been for a selected few so that they conceal it to themselves and live by it But now it is made universal, to all angels, to fishes in the water, to Tom, Dick and Harry. To reserve this wisdom for a few in a secret chamber could be likened to somebody saying, "let evil things go afar." If evil things should go to London, are those in London not your brothers? Where will evil things go and dwell? Is it India? Do your brethren not dwell in India? The only thing you should say is that evil things should not exist at all. That is why this teaching is universal, and also delivered in the Christ Universal Spiritual School of Practical Christianity. It is universal and to the emancipation of all.
2.27 God and all God’s creation are in you.
Most people in the world continue to say that Brotherhood of the Cross and Star exists without God, even though there is power there. They forget to understand that all that we do emanate from the words. Juju is only made powerful because of the spoken words. The so called juju or idol and such man made gods you worship are made powerful because of the spoken word used during their worship by the person who worships or conjures them. They have no power of their own. It is the spoken word of man that has the power falsely attributed to the idol or juju. If good and godly words were spoken, the Holy Spirit would have been at work. If you go to your father's grave, pour some wine and say that certain persons should perish, or you invoke the ghost to rise up and kill some persons, you have allowed evil communication to proceed out of your mouth. Have you not blasphemed against the Holy Spirit? All those who go to invoke evil spirits in the cemetery, neither have sense or know themselves. Remember you are a vessel for the word. The word is dwelling in you, the Holy Spirit is dwelling in you, our Lord Jesus Christ is dwelling in you. All the things you can think of in the world are inside you. What prevents you from saying the word? Say but the word and everything will happen. There is no need setting up a place and calling it a sanctuary. Without you, without the word, can such a place exist?
Our Lord Jesus Christ said, when the Comforter, even the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will lead you unto the accurate wisdom of the truth. Have you not seen the Comforter leading you unto the accurate wisdom of the Truth?
2.28 The kingdom of the world is now the kingdom of God
Christ said, for he shall not speak of himself; but what he had heard, that shall he speak. All that exists here in this Kingdom is good word, word of truth, word of life, word of good health, word of peace, word of wealth, word of everlasting life, and of everything good about everybody. It is said, “the Kingdoms of this world have become the Kingdoms of Jehovah God and His Christ”. Have you not witnessed this truth? He will reign forever and ever. I always stand here for two to three hours, have you heard me speak any vain, vile, evil words. These words do the work and now everybody is well liberated.
A local adage says that the roasted dog meat is delicious, but what will one eat to wait for the dog meat to be properly roasted? I know that you are all desirous to speak good words, but as far as you continue to steal, tell lies, begrudge somebody, hate and prepare concoction, where will such words come from. What you speak is the manifestation of your actions and the evil intentions of your heart.
2.29 The word makes the man
That is why it is said, “when the tree is good, its fruits will also be good”. You cannot know anybody through the money he gives to you. You cannot determine a man through his bowing down his head for you. You cannot determine a man through the words he speaks. As we are here, an American Negro may come in, a West Indian may come in, somebody from Ivory Coast or any other African Country may come in; unless they begin to speak, their different languages, you cannot know from where they come. You can find some people sitting around here, but from different ethnic background such as Hausa, Efik, or a Camerounian, or Yoruba man and yet another, an Ibo man. You will not know from where they come unless they begin to speak. Only when they have spoken can one say to somebody so you are an Hausa man, I thought you were an Efik man.
That is why before one is employed, he must be interviewed. It is during the interview that one's qualities are known. Before you speak two or three words, your character and behaviour is determined. When you have a case with the police and are requested to make a statement, if you tell them that you reserve your statement. they will gird their loin, knowing that you are not an easy-to-handle person. They will also hold that you have disorganised them, it is from your statement that they can know the loop holes and put up strategies to hook you. That is why when you are speaking to somebody who keeps quiet and will not reply, another person will come and draw your attention telling you to take care and get away from such a person. Some other person may ask you what he said when you spoke to him, and for mentioning that he said nothing, he will warn you to be very careful with that type of man.
2.30 Speak no evil but good words and same will manifest
Let us joke with food and every other thing, but let us not joke with the Almighty God because He is the word. Whatever comes out from the word is capable of destroying and making perfect the whole world. The problems besetting the whole world emanates from fighting with God. You are not enjoined not to speak, but rather you are warned to be mindful of the type of word that comes out from your mouth. Speak no evil words. All the good things you wish should come into being, just speak the word and they will manifest accordingly. All the good things you expect in the world, speak good and they will manifest throughout the world, even though they had never been in existence.
2.31 The zodiac signs symbolise the twelve patriarchs
Jacob ignorantly made a mistake because he did not realize the efficacy of the word. When he was old he called his twelve sons, the twelve patriarchs. He told them that he had something to tell them, what will happen to them one by one. When you hear of the twelve Zodiac, the twelve Calendar months, they symbolise the twelve patriarchs, the twelve sons of Jacob. Astrologers, Astronomers, and all other Scientists who study the stars, base their probabilities on this. They used all that Jacob had said to his children to predict people's fate and behaviour.
2.32 The origin of poverty
That is why when Job's wife told him to deny God, he replied that he would rather curse the month he was conceived and the day he was born instead of speaking evil against His God.
Ruben was the first son of Jacob. It will interest you to hear what Jacob said about him. This will make you realize how poor people came into being. Ruben was intimate with his father's wife. Jacob was angry and said unto Reuben, “thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father's bed; then defiledest thou it”. That is the root of poverty in the world. The descendants of Ruben caused all the troubles in the world. They follow women all about. Any person who is from that tribe can be intimate with his sisters, his mother, his stepmother and even his brother's wife. They do not discriminate at all. They go all out for it no matter what you do; and yet they do not have any money at home.
2.33 The origin of army institution
In the same manner, Levi and Simeon were from the same womb. They had committed murder. When Jacob was returning to his home town, they tarried in a certain city. The prince of that city impregnated the sister of Simeon and Levi. When Jacob discovered this the King of that city went to Jacob and told him that he would accept any condition of reconciliation that Jacob would give so that there might be peace. Jacob requested that all the inhabitants of that city should be circumcised, and he accepted. Little did Jacob at that moment know that Simeon and Levi were conspiring to do something. When the peace terms were agreed upon, the two brothers went behind and killed every citizen of the city. That was why when the time came for Jacob to bless them, he said, "O my secrets; unto their assembly, mine honour, be not thou united: for in their anger slew a man." He added that the sword would never depart from their house. This explains the existence of the murderers, soldiers who are always eager to kill. They are always with sword, always with the matchet. You can eat and drink with somebody but the next moment he will be shapening his sword to eliminate you.
2.34 To know God is to know the word
When you read through Genesis Chapter 49: 1-33, you will notice the blessings and woes Jacob bestowed on the twelve tribes of Israel. If you are a descendant of any of these tribes, whatever was pronounced on that child is what will become of you. It is only Joseph whom he loved that he poured his blessings abundantly. All the blessings became manifested in Joseph.
I want to show you today that it is the word that is used in destroying the world and it is the word which will be used in recreating it. You who profess to know God, do you know the word? If you claim to know God and know not the word, does somebody who does not know God know the word? You profess that you know our Lord Jesus Christ, do you know the word? The word is God. The word is our Lord Jesus Christ. The word is the Holy Spirit. If you should know what the word is, when you are told to go and sin no more, or to go that your problems are over, or to go that you are a child of God, or that you should not speak evil words but should speak good; you would believe in those words. When you are told not to steal or get exasperated, you would comply, you would not joke with the word.
2.35 God reconstructs the world with the word
This is the era of recreation. The world had already been in ruins. The word was used in creating the world. But former things have passed away. This is the period of time when everybody has to be recreated. The word of God is going to be used in perfecting the whole of this world. That is why Brotherhood has peculiar ways of praying, of singing, of giving testimonies, of preaching and of doing everything. All things in Brotherhood are done by perfect words meant to recreate. Where you had in the past pronounced a curse; saying woe unto this or that, woe unto father or brother, now you have been clothed with the blessedness of God. You have been cleansed, healed of your ailments, you are prosperous, you are a child of God, you have eternal life, and every good thing has been given to you.
Do you now realize how churches have individually spoken vile, defiled words and have blasphemed against God? Are you with your heads? I laugh at it all! It is also a very piteous situation. That is why I pray to the Father to forgive them all for they are all God's children. It has come to pass that whosoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, shall be forgiven but whosoever speaks against the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven. The churches have spoken evil against God. You are a house of God, yet you have spoken evil and you have cursed another person. Everybody is a house of God and has erred. This is our problem in the world. From today, let us turn a new leaf and be born anew. Let us speak good words so that good words can bounce back on us.
2.36 We should avoid vain words
I do not want people to see ghosts, demons, witches, charms, in their visions. Do not pray to God to eliminate enemies, because there are no enemies. Do not preach confusion. Your problem is that you preach confusion. Till today 99% of your preaching are carnal and vain things. When a person has a court case or is sick, do not tell him to follow you to Calabar. Only tell him that as from that moment he has been discharged and acquitted and that his sickness is over and that will end it. Do not say again that you are the only one in your family who attend Brotherhood. When you say that you have blasphemed against the Holy Spirit. The whole world is Brotherhood, because they are the children of God. The Father has gathered them unto himself and has changed them. He has forgiven every person. This is the time for the glorification of God. We all have to say all what is good. Read the golden text with rapt attention.
Golden Text: Matthew 12: 32
"And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven, neither in this world, neither in the world to come."
2.37 This the time to recreate
A lot of people have problems because they do not know that the one who is in them is the greatest. The person in them is God. He is the greatest. He is the word. Do not speak evil word again. Do not allow evil communications, dirty utterances, words of lamentations, vile and disdainful words, words of annoyance to come out of your mouth, because whenever you say this they will back-fire and will affect your life. When somebody begs a favour from you, if you are able to provide, do so quietly, if unable, do not add any evil words. Tell him to go that you will provide for him another day. The book of Ecclesiastes says there is time for everything, a time to rend clothes and a time to sew, a time to kill and a time to keep alive. This is the time for recreating man into the glory of God.
2.38 God has entered into a new covenant with man
It is on this premise that the Father has said, this is the Covenant that I will enter into, with the house of Israel after those days. It will not resemble the Covenant that I made with their Father-in which I left them with utter abandon in the wilderness. But in this new Covenant, he says I will put my laws into their mind and write them in their hearts, and I will be to them a God and they shall be to me a people. And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother to know God, for all shall know me from the least to the greatest.
For I will be merciful unto their unrighteousness and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. The emphasis is on "forgiving" "being merciful" and "not remembering" or unrighteousness and sins. All the sins committed by man from Abraham are, through our Lord Jesus Christ, not remembered any more, and that to our unrighteousness, He has shown mercy. These words are fulfilled in your midst. He does not remember your sins and iniquities again. He has absolutely forgotten about our sins. This is a new Covenant into which God has entered with all of you. As in the first world, where there was no trouble, and quarreling and division and fighting, people obeyed the voice of God and lent their ears to Him, now must we stage a "go back" to that first world and there must be no sins. People must obey the voice of God. That paradise which man by transgression lost, is now regained. If he did not forgive the unrighteousness of the inhabitants of the world, what would have prompted people to know God? What would have prompted your recreation and regeneration and how would you have entered this kingdom?
2.39 The Word becomes flesh and lives with man
Watch your tongue from now on, you will discover that if you curse somebody by spelling woe on him, any time he visualises you either in the dream or in a trance, he will claim he has seen you as a wizard or an apparition. This is erroneous. It is the vibration of the woe you pronounced which become flesh. Have you not heard the confession of so many people that there is a formidable power in Brotherhood, but that power which according to them is not without some element of diabolism, does not come from God. But I do not seem to see the power in Brotherhood but what happens is that the Father is doing His work.
2.40 The television programme should be universal
God is power, He is the word, He is the Christ, He is the Spirit, He is everything to every man. This is the only thing I see in this kingdom and no other thing. Can you realise that the Brotherhood TV programme entitled “Brotherhood Pulpit” should not be left for a handful of people. It should belong to all the inhabitants of the world, the government, the Schools, the Hospitals and other institutions. Gospels such as the one we have today should be disseminated to all parts of the world and to all the inhabitants in the four comers of the world. Because if all human beings and all angels assimilate this gospel, about ninety-nine percent of the population would have repented and changed.
2.41 Out of the same mouth comes good and evil
This is the time for all the inhabitants of the world to worship their creator, whether you are a man or a woman, a child, an adult or an old man, white or black, refrain from sin because the time of foolishness had long passed. We used to despise God but now we have seen Him face to face and know that He is seasoned word.
Experience, they say is the best teacher. After God had created man, He advised Adam that he could eat of all the fruits of the trees in the garden, except one and any day he would eat of it, he would die. When you pray, you always ask God to take away death, how can He take death away, when He had established death as an institution. It is said “this is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil”. If two persons go to console a bereaved person, one speaks good words and the other evil. Man has the tendency to blow both hot and cold. Out of the same mouth proceeds blessing and cursing, consider yourself.
2.42 The serpent cursed
After eating the forbidden fruit, if God had made no statement, there would have been no problem. But when He started cursing the serpent, the woman and the man, trouble set in. And the Lord God said to the serpent, because you have deceived the woman, you are cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field, upon your belly will you walk and dust will you eat all the days of your life. And I will put enmity between you and a pregnant woman. Have you not seen these curses in the serpent today?
2.43 The woman and man cursed; and death created
He then turned to the woman and said, "I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception, in sorrow will you bring forth children, and you will perpetually remain under the control of the man." What is the position of woman today? He then turned to the man and said, "because you have hearkened unto the voice of a woman, and has eaten the forbidden fruit, cursed is the ground for your sake. In great sorrow will you eat all the days of your life. Thorns and thistles shall it bring to you and you will eat the herb of the field. You will only eat from the sweat of your face until you return to the ground for out of it were you taken, for dust you are, and unto dust will you return." Have you not realized the unbearable suffering of man?
2.44 Old order of death abrogated
The foregoing explains why the whole world has suffered death no matter what they do, but now He has abrogated that old institution He says, there will be no more death neither sorrow nor lamentation, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away, behold everything is now made new. When you tell people that there is no more death, they laugh you to scorn that Moses had died. They say this because they do not know this new dispensation. He says, "I will be merciful unto their unrighteousness and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more." He has forgiven our trespasses, He has not remembered any again because we are now in the new world. The only proviso is that you should refrain from all acts of sin, and evil utterances. In your prayers, songs, sermons, testimonies, your words should be seasoned with salt, and that which is good to the use of edifying that it may minister grace to hearers.
2.45 Turn from woe to beatitude
As you carried the image of the earthly man when you cursed people that woe betides them, that they will die, that they will be wretched, that they will be devoured by the leopard, such vain words have disorganised, consumed and destroyed the world. But now you have to carry the image of the heavenly man, you have to recast your words. Say, “blessed are you, you are prosperous, you have eternal life, you have good health, God has taken dominion over you”.
2.46 Avoid Israel’s mistake
Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth from now on, and you will be surprised at what will transpire in the world. You must only speak words which are capable of edifying and ministering grace to hearers. When Pilate intended to release our Lord Jesus Christ, He asked the Jews “which of these two persons should I release unto you, is it Banabas or Jesus called the Christ?” They all asked that Banabas be released unto them but shouted that our Lord Jesus Christ should be crucified and that His blood should be on their heads and upon their children and upon their children's children. Is that blood not upon the Israelites today?
2.47 Correct your parents' errors by not speaking guile
Many a time you pronounce curses on your children, “what you do to me, your children will do the same thing to you”. Your father and mother were saying the same thing, and now your condition is the manifestation of your parents' pronouncement. Do not say it again. Women are always fond of saying to their husbands, “as you do with me, you will do same to all your wives”, do not make such utterances again. The men folk are also very fond of this, little did you know that hitherto, you were destroying yourself. This is a new gospel and as it has already been said, something spectacular will happen during this Choristers' Week, and it has happened.
I know you will wear this gospel as your neck-lace, you will wear it as an armour of God, as your boot, as your hat and you will realize that the wax has been removed from your ears, scales have dropped down your eyes, the heavy stone has been taken out of your heart. It is only then that you will discover that through your words, you have been injurious to yourselves. It is the mouth of a monkey that kills the monkey.
If you cannot diagnose the nature of your sickness, how will you know the cure of it? Right now you can diagnose the nature of your sickness and you also know the treatment. Whoever makes evil utterances, has blasphemed against God, and there is no forgiveness. From now on do not abuse, do not curse any person, but only speak what is good. Do not blaspheme against God.
Brethren, I do not wish to be tedious unto you. It is said one stroke of the cane is sufficient for the wise. Those who have ears, let them hear. May God bless His holy words. Amen.
