GOD'S TEACHING ON MARRIAGE AND DIVORCE

Golden text: Matthew 19:6 And I say unto you, “Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication and shall marry another, committed adultery, and whoso marrieth her, which is put away, doth commit adultery” 1.1 The world's diverse problems I am obliged at all times, most especially at this end of time, to teach and change man from his sinful state to righteousness. The world has witnessed a great ruin. It is spoilt to almost irrecoverable state; and except I stay with you always to teach, exhort and change man, more harm will be done in the world. There are great and many other sensitive things yet to be taught to you. Some white brethren have tried to keep to the injunctions of God but the blacks have not started. They have completely neglected the words of God. This being the case, people will continue to lament, gnash their teeth, suffer affliction, defeat and eventually die. Even with the presence of the Holy Spirit, man will continue to experience hardship and many other problems except he changes from sinfulness to righteousness. This accounts for the reason why our Lord Jesus Christ (St. Matthew 5:19) said: “Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the Kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the Kingdom of heaven”. This gospel is very revealing and so, whoever desires life should practise it. The world's predicaments emanate from man's total neglect for the words of God. The world can never have peace and comfort, so long as she does not practise the words of God. And the good things one wants in life are embodied in the words of God. There is no way man can take his due position in the scheme of things except he practises the words of God. In other words, the only way man can be elevated and crowned is for him to practise the words of God. Thus, practising the words of God is the only channel through which man can gain salvation from God. The word of God is the master key to all doors. One cannot know the content of a parcel until it is opened. Our Lord Jesus Christ said ( John 16:12 - 13) “I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth is come. He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will show you things to come.” Simply put, the Holy Spirit is the only one worthy to teach and disclose to man about the secret of the kingdom of God. Our Lord Jesus Christ taught in parables, and except these parables are carefully interpreted, one cannot understand Him well. Thus I have come to teach and bring man to the accurate knowledge of the truth. In almost all the homes today, the father is considered the first in every family, followed by the mother. Every other member of that family is under the two. They are all one and have to share everything in common. In families where this divine order is strictly observed, it is the father who is the husband ( must be a man), who is the head. But in the absence of the father, the wife (mother) then takes control of the family. It is on the basis of this fact that the whites accept their wives as the heads of their families. In the absence of the, mother (wife), the first child, then heads the family and so on. Same sex marriage or any same sex sexual relationship is unnatural, is satanic and against the law of God. It must never be practised for it is an abomination Furthermore, for a family to be stable, the wife who must be a woman, should respect the husband greatly. She should call her husband Lord as exemplified by Sarah, the wife of Abraham. The question is, how many women in the world today, would call their husbands lord? None has done that, because many do not regard their husbands as their fathers. If a woman should know that her husband is her father, she would always call him lord. 1.2 Do not revolt against your husband Many women revolt against their husbands, as a result of their ignorance of this golden rule. On the other hand, some husbands in error urge their wives to go back to their fathers when they feel they cannot continue any longer with the marriage. They (the husbands) do this without knowing that they themselves are the fathers of their wives. In spite of the fact that the husband is the head and sole controller of the home. He should not use that opportunity to cheat his wife. That is exactly what prevails here in the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star. The home now in the world has been separated. Therefore, it is our place now to bring it together. This is the surest way to unite the entire people of the world together. It is only the Father that owns everything in the family. Intrigues should not be practised for whatever reason in the family. At the same time, both the wife and the children have full right to any property of their father. It is their father who has the right to caution them in event of misuse of any of his property and not an intruder to go into the family for whatever reason. Have your eyes been made opened by this gospel? Some people erroneously profess that; there is no need for them to go for marriage rite, because of the fact that, they had children already. This is quite wrong because God does not sanction such an act. Such a family is void of God*s blessings. Any family that deviates from God's divine plan is bound to have some problems. In some families, the attention of the husband is focused on members of their extended family to the detriment of their wives and children. By so doing, such husbands have committed an abomination. This is the source of many matrimonial problems. Nobody in the extended family should intrude into the affairs of the family. Whether the father -in-law, mother-in-law, brothers and sisters in-law, they are outside the matrimonial home and so, should not intrude in the private affairs of the family. Here in Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, we are often enjoined not to ill-treat our wives, husbands and children. This is the teaching of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, whoever finds this injunction too difficult to observe in his home should count himself out of Brotherhood of the Cross and Star. Such a person should see himself as a bad egg in the midst of the good ones which must be removed. So long as most families in this fold practise this divine injunction, the blessing, peace, and glory of the Father shall continue to pour on them. 1.3 Couples ought to be inseparable whole Before now, God had carefully designed the matrimonial home to be made up of one inseparable whole. The husband and wife were made to be one flesh, and God further warned that no one should put the relationship asunder. Today, have you not put asunder the matrimonial homes joined by God? But now, all things are made new. It has been redesigned, documented, sealed and brought to the notice of the generality of the inhabitants of the world that, there is neither male nor female, everyone is made one. The only one in existence is the Holy Spirit. The world is spilt as a result of the former laws and had capitalised on this sorry situation to abuse the handwork of God. Take the case of David and Solomon as nominated in the scripture into consideration. They and many other people not mentioned were polygamists. And in spite of their chain of concubines, they still could not overlook other women. Even in this generation, very many people still behave in this way. Is this not a clear case of disobedience to God? God directed that, whatever He had joined together, no man should put asunder. Having gone contrary to this instruction therefore man began to experience tribulations, afflictions and even death. No one should then blame Satan or any other thing for his problems. The scripture discloses to us that, a house divided against it cannot stand (Saint Matthew 12:25). And now the question is, has your house not been torn apart; the wife leading a front and the husband, another? And if one faction is warring against another, the house is bound to suffer desolation. In a desolated house of this nature, it is very sympathetic to notice that the children are also waging war against their parents. In almost all the homes today, the parents do not have absolute control over their children. They are at daggers drawn. Some parent's cannot even account for the whereabouts of their children. And no other person should be blamed for this except the parents. 1.4 Maintain unity at home In the world today, it is only in the United Kingdom that respect and honour for Kingship is maintained and protected from collapsing. Currently, the Queen is the head of the royal family. The wife of the king is the queen and the offspring are the children of the royal family. To whom would you say the property or assets of the Royal family belong to? All the possessions of the king belong to the children. In other worlds, there is equal right in the home. So long as the king lives, everything pertaining to the throne is for the Royal family. If eventually the king dies, nobody can by right, deprive the heirs of the Royal home of the possessions of the father. They remain the true heirs of the family until eternity. In other words, integrity enjoyed by a Royal family remains theirs as prince and princess till death. I want you to understand that, emphasis is laid on unity of purpose and equal right over all the family's possessions. This is exactly what is expected of every family. Whosoever violated the law of unity and love in the matrimonial home has in no small way, disobeyed God, not man. 1.5 Do not interfere Everything that belongs to the parents of a certain family also belongs to the children this couple begets as well. Therefore, in order to avoid an unpleasant situation for the children, it is good that intruders should steer off family affairs of couples. If a particular matrimonial home were allowed to remain as God had ordained it, there would be no problem at all. Problems arise whenever people start to intrude into the affairs of the couples. Besides, the person who intrudes into the affairs of others has his own problem at home and by so doing, he presents the normal course of family development through his experiences. If couples are allowed to function on their own, definitely, they are bound to learn from their mistakes and forge ahead without an intruder. The children who are born into such a family are likely to emulate the love, patience, goodness, temperance and peace that exist in the midst of their parents. If this divine message is upheld by the people of the world then the task of making the world one will be easily achieved in the1 nearest possible time because a God fearing society is developed from God fearing families that make up the society. I want this gospel to be disseminated to every nook and corner of the world because if it is practised, an end would be put to the problems faced by all families all over the world. Read 1st. Peter 3:6-9: “Even as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement. Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered. Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing. Brethren, have you seen from the above text, the cord that binds a family together? 1.6 Your wife is your blood If a man marries a woman and they are blessed with five children, altogether the family is seven. Who then is the head of the family? I have been telling you repeatedly that, the whites are far ahead of you (the blacks) when it comes to practising what is taught to both of you by the Holy Spirit. For instance, if a woman*s name was Comfort Okon before her marriage, once she is married say, to a man called Asuquo, she automatically changes and replaces her father's name with that of her husband. Thus, she would now be called Comfort Asuquo as her new name. That is to say, Asuquo has now become her father and not Okon. Invariably, it means she is the first begotten of Asuquo, her husband and father. In other words, the wife is the first offspring of the husband. Therefore, the wife is the first born of every married man, followed by the first issue of the marriage and subsequent issues. But this fact is hidden to the world. It is for this reason that husband is considered the first in every family, followed by the mother. Every other member of that family is under the two. They are all one. They have to share everything in common. In families where this divine order is strictly observed, it is the father (husband) who is the head. But in the absence of the father, the wife (mother) then takes control of the family. It is on the basis of this fact that the whites regard their wives as the heads of their families. In the absence of the mother, the first child, then heads the family and so on. Judging from this fact, no one has any cause to put asunder any matrimonial home. If you do, you have yourself to blame for the aftermath of disobeying God. Have you ever heard that some other person from another land inherited the blessings of the household of Abraham? No! Isaac was the true heir of Abraham and so, bagged the blessings of his father. Same did Isaac leave for Jacob. And so continues the trend till this present generation with the household of God. And so brethren I do not wish to be tedious unto you. Those who have ears let them hear. May God bless His holy Words. Amen THANK YOU FATHER
