TRUTH: THE OTHER NAME OF GOD

First lesson: Luke 18: 18 - 19 “And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? And Jesus said unto him, why callest thou me good? None is good, save one, that is, God.” Second lesson: John 8: 31 - 32 “Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my words, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall, make you free.” Golden text: John 18: 36-38 “Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. Pilate saith unto him, what is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them. I find in him no fault at all.” 2.1 What is truth? Brethren, have you heard this great question? This question forms the central theme of this gospel. And from it we would get the answer to this seemingly unanswerable question. Recall what transpired between our Lord Jesus Christ and Pontius Pilate. During their dialogue, this similar question was thrown to the Lord by the governor. At this point in time, I also direct this question to you: What is truth? Our Lord' Jesus Christ made it abundantly clear that He came into the world for the sake of the truth and to bear witness to the truth. If I may ask, what then is the truth which He came for and to bear witness to? This question is not different from asking somebody, "what is God". Beloved, would it be wrong to say God is the truth, and have you not seen Him manifest among you? Unquestionably, God is the truth and the truth is God. Whenever God assures you of His everlasting presence and promises to make everything abundantly well with you, He causes these utterances to manifest with amazing accuracy. And since these words emanate from the truth and they are truth, unfailingly they are bound to come to manifestation. The efficacy of the words spoken by the Father and their accurate fulfillment prove that they are truth and come from God. The spiritual chorus below confirms what the truth entails. Spiritual chorus If you know the truth, the truth shall set you free, 2.2 The omnipresence and constancy of the truth This is a question for all the inhabitants of the world. Have you who are gazing expectantly at the sky, not seen the truth manifest on earth in human form? Have you not seen the omnipresent truth everywhere? Sadly enough, the truth is just under your nose, but you are restlessly searching for it elsewhere. This example is to illustrate what truth stands for. Assuming you go to see somebody at 8 a.m. and at exactly that time, you see him at the meeting point; what would he consider you to be? In another instance, somebody assured you he would see you at 8 p.m., and at that time he was nowhere to be found. What would you consider him to be? Certainly, the first person has the truth in him while the second person has no truth in him and he is not of God. 2.3 God is Truth Truth is unchangeable. Anything that embodies the truth is constant because truth is constant. What do you regard anything that is constant? And what is that thing that works according to the truth? God does not have any association with falsehood which you constantly practise, by refusing to keep to your promises. All truthful utterances come from God and are manifestations of God. Whenever you are asked to undertake a missionary work so that your problem would be solved, if by hearkening to this advice your problem is really solved, you are associated with the truth. No falsehood is found in God. He is truth and constant. The reason why the gospels are preached to you daily is to enable you know where God is and how to find the truth. This is because God is only sufficiently found where truth abounds. Anyone who speaks the truth always, and his words and actions are faultless, is he who has he truth in him; and such a person has God in him, and he lives in God. Whenever you come across anyone whose pronouncements manifest with accuracy and without delay and the person does not have an iota of falsehood in him, such a person is God. God is the Father of truth. So you should know that if you know the truth, the truth shall liberate you for God is liberty and sets you free. Everybody is advised to be humble and respectful to anybody who is known to have the truth, and should, without delay, carry out any assignment that he requires you to do. The man who has the truth is now asking you to refrain from all acts of immorality and evil practices. He is imploying you to abstain from the consumption of meat and fish. He does not stop there, He is also asking you to abhor idolatry, adultery and fornication. Why have you, in spite of His daily preaching, remained adamant? Plainly, you have refused to hearken to His preaching and abide by it. He, who is the truth has told you that your source of happiness should not come from the fact that the spirits have submitted to you, but it should be because your name has been written in the book of life in heaven. At this juncture, it is relevant to ask how possible it is for someone's name to be written in the book of life? The truth is that, a man's name could only be written in the book of life when he has seen, witnessed, known, accepted and practised the truth. And the only time you could be said to have achieved all these things is when you have done exactly what God has instructed you. Also, it is from such a time that you would have the conviction that God is truth. Re-examine the First Lesson. First lesson: Luke 18: 18 - 19 “And a certain ruler asked him, saying. Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? And Jesus said unto him, why callest thou me good? None is good, save one, that is, God.” 2.4 God is good and perfect This is a revelation. The Almighty God has another name. That name is GOOD. Anything that is perfectly good symbolises God. Take your mind back to when the disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ called Him Good Master. He rejected the name and revealed to them that it was God alone who was qualified to be called good. This was a divine truth which Christ revealed. Ignorance of the knowledge of God is what makes people claim to be good. Those who make this claim do not also understand that it is only God who is good and should be addressed as such. I reiterate, anything that is good is God. In another context, anything that is pure. perfect, truthful and good is God. Having received all these divine knowledge, why then have you rejected the word of God which is God and the truth, and have chosen to consult necromancers, juju priests and indulge in idolatry? What is the reason behind your patronising the occultists, medical doctors, legal practitioners and other forms of falsehood? Has it not yet dawned on you that no truth is found in these vainful practices? Huge resources are wasted on astral projection, soul traveling and idle investigations of the subterranean, firmament and other spiritual planes. And disappointedly, at the end of these fruitless investigations, you are led into utter falsehood. Not only that, you are as well plunged into wretchedness and hopelessness. A more pathetic thing about this issue is that during these researches, the researchers are made to perform various sacrifices which rob them of their property and render them financially empty. It is ridiculous that it is only when they are hopeless and drained that they turn to the Holy Father for help. Such an experience is never found in Brotherhood of the Cross and Star. There is a great contrast between what obtains in the world and what is found in the kingdom. In Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, members merely utter a few words of prayer and their calamities and other impediments are taken away. What is responsible for this great difference is that, in Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, the truth has fully manifested while there is still darkness and ignorance in the world. Though God is right now living among men, none knows Him. People are still ignorant of the fact that God is synonymous with goodness and truth. Consequently, they have not been thankful to Him. A perfect example of this ignorance and the resultant ingratitude is shown in the case of the ten lepers who were cleansed by our Lord Jesus Christ. Below is the account of it as confirmed in the Bible. “And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at his feet. giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole. (Luke 17: 12 - 19) 2.5 The righteous practise God's words Although God has come physically on earth, man does not believe in Him. This supports why they do not put into practice His injunctions. Why do you search for a good man when you are neither righteous nor good. You cannot demonstrate any virtue but you take delight in condemning others. This question is directed to you: would anyone who is good cherish what is not good; can he indulge in falsehood, hatred, fornication, adultery, idolatry, and any form of killing and other acts of sinfulness? If you maintain that you have known God and have understood that He is good and truthful, why have you not glorified Him? What you are supposed to be doing always is glorifying God and informing people that He is the sole doer of all good works. Though you have not been revealing or telling people about the presence of God on earth, but He has unceasingly continued to carry out His good works. 2.6 The shepherd and leader Beloved, God is the only good Shepherd and Leader. Let no one deceive you that there is another good leader apart from Him. That is the reason why every meeting in the kingdom (B.C.S) is started with the song, “Spirit of the living God come and lead, for it was written that you would lead.” The concluding part of this song acknowledges Him as the only good Shepherd. As the only Leader, Master, Teacher and Good Shepherd, He has come to oversee and direct our lives. With all these truths revealed to you, why have you not submitted to His rulership? Moreso, if you have known Him as the Truth, why do you doubt Him and refuse to practically demonstrate His teachings? Always bear in mind this divine example shown by our Lord Jesus Christ, which was Christ's answer to a question asked by a certain ruler. “And a certain ruler asked him, saying. Good Master what shall I do to inherit eternal life? And Jesus said" unto him, Why callest thou me good? None is good, save one, that is, God.” (Luke 18: 18 - 19). You may be familiar with the parable of the kingdom as recorded at Matthew 20: 1 - 15. As illustrated by our Lord Jesus Christ, a certain man went out to hire labourers for his vineyard. The man hired the first group of labourers in the morning; the second set at noon; and the rest of the labourers in the evening. They all agreed to be paid a penny each at the end of the day. So at the close of work when the time came for payment, the owner of the vineyard gave a penny to each of the labourers as previously agreed. But the set of labourers who came in the morning grew annoyed and questioned why they should be given the same amount as the labourers who came in the afternoon and evening. The householder in response simply reminded them that they were paid their wages according to the agreement. The householder told the complaining labourers not to question his generosity. It is God alone who reserves the right to do what pleases Him. He is our God, Father, Leader and Teacher, and shall rule forever. Henceforth, allow the word of God to lead you aright and do not derail from His path of truth. You are advised to also desist from questioning Him, rather you should allow His will to manifest in your life. 2.7 Divine example of steadfastness Take your mind back to Job's situation during his trying moments with the devil. Amid severe pain and agony, he was asked to revile and forsake God. In spite of Satan's pressure on him, he was unmoved. He glorified and thanked God, believing that God was good and capable of reversing his situation. He had fervent belief that it was God who gives and takes, and so praises should be given to Him. This is confirmed at Job 1: 20 - 22 thus: “Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, And said, Naked came / out of my mother's womb, and naked shall, I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord. In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.” Job is a perfect example of somebody who strongly believes in God and takes God for what He is. Anyone who is like Job is neither selective nor segregative. Such a person has equal love for all without discrimination. God causes the sun to shine on everything and the rain to fall for everybody. God's love is sufficient for all, and such great love is immeasurable. God has equal love for the sun, moon, stars, invisible planetary bodies and the entire cosmological arrangement. He does not exhibit inequality when expressing His love. He never disappoints anyone that believes and has faith in Him. Abraham understood the reliability of God, hence he had complete faith in Him, and for that reason he is called and known as the friend of God. Abraham was always alert, willing and promptly carried out whatever God instructed him to do. To prove this fact, Abraham, without delay or protest, left his native land, Ur of the Chaldees, at God's order to a strange land that he had never known or heard of. 2.8 Emulate the perfect being No iota of evil is found in God. In God is neither found hatred nor craftiness. Therefore, if you intend to follow Him, you are advised to forsake cunningness, resent immorality and refrain from other malicious practices. Do not make suggestions to God, but you should readily do all that He tells you without questioning or doubt. God is good and truthful, and is desirous to be proud of you as His worthy child. Undeniably, a good man would not want to have a bad child, for a bad child brings disgrace and shame to his parents. Considering how great God is, I wonder what gives you the effrontery to question His authority and wisdom. I also marvel at your boldness to question the power and rulership of God. This is an irrevocable fact. If you have to inherit the kingdom, you must completely submit to the divine rulership, leadership, mastery and kingship of God. This spiritual chorus affirms God's supremacy and perfect nature. Spiritual chorus O! Good shepherd. Teach us thy way, O! Teacher. Re-examine the Second Lesson Second lesson: John 8: 31 - 32 “Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” The following spiritual choruses support the truth that is revealed in this gospel. Spiritual choruses The truth is stationary and yet, he is accomplishing his work everywhere; We have seen him in this generation: he is Olumba Obu Sanctify us unto thyself with Truth Oh Lord: For Thy words are truth and thou also art Truth. 2.9 God is unchanging Those who put my words into practice are my disciples. The words that I preach are good, and good is another name for God. Moreso, all the words that come from me are the words of God, and they also are God. So it is wise for the children of God to hold fast to them for their own good. The children of God are advised to desist from stealing, fornication, falsehood, idolatry, and carrying out abortion or murder. They should also discontinue with hate, envy, gossiping and fighting. What you are required to do is to demonstrate humility, peacefulness, patience, love, kindness, truthfulness, honesty and loyalty to God, and remain good to everybody. The teachings from God are truth and lead to eternal life. Assuringly, if you practically demonstrate these teachings, you will inherit the kingdom of God. Again, it is certain that you will behold the full glory of God in you if you practise His words. God is unchanging: He is truth and His words are truth. If a person gives you a slap on the right' cheek, turn the left cheek for him to slap also. If anyone wants to confiscate your property, willingly release to him the bigger portion, for this is what signifies practising the divine teachings. The teachings embody the truth and are constant. By adhering to these teachings, you will no more have problems in life. At the time of the departure of our Lord Jesus Christ, He revealed this truth as recorded in Mark 16:16 - 18: “He that believeth and is baptised shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them, they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” And now that you are reading my words, if you believe in them, adhere to them and receive baptism, all these signs shall accompany you, and the various problems in your life will be instantly solved. A great number of people have gained salvation by receiving the words spoken by the Father in Brotherhood of the Cross and Star. A lot more are now anxiously waiting for the Holy Father to make any pronouncement which they would immediately put into practice. A lot of people do not come to 34 Ambo to receive the word of God that I deliver, they receive it on radio and television. Others send for our publications so that they could read and assimilate the word of God. And these people are ready to do whatever the Father says. 2.10 Abhor your former atrocious ways Brethren, God is nothing else apart from Good and Truth. He has no association with evil and evil never emanates from Him. Since God is Good and Truth, all His utterances always come to fulfillment. Everybody should know that very soon the only people who would have life, good health, food and riches will be those who know, believe and worship God. In order to have all these things, you are advised to depart from your former ways, when you were the ruler, teacher and owner of yourself. You used to live abominably in the past when you were ignorant of the truth, but now that you have been shown the truth by the Truth found in your midst, you would not be justified if you continue in that old way. We should now submit to the will of God which is good and perfect for all. 2.11 The pure in heart see Truth(God) Truth is God. Truth is constant, and eternal. When you encounter truth(God), you appreciate Him according to the degree of fullness, and clarity with which you received Him. The degree of fullness and clarity of this reception of this Truth depends on your state of spiritual purity. The purer you are spiritually, the more completely you receive the Truth. The more complete and clearly you receive, the more clearly you are able to transmit completely to other people. This is why our Lord Jesus Christ appreciated Truth and presented Truth to other people more fully, more complete and with greater clarity than all others who presented Truth to the world before He came. This situation has remained so until now. This is why I have come to teach man and present Truth complete and in fullness and clarity to mankind so that man shall be led unto the utter knowledge of Truth and thus be spiritually transformed into righteousness, for when you know the Truth, the Truth shall set you free. Henceforth, do not have hope in earthly wisdom, wealth or man. The only pillar of hope should be God who is the Truth. I advise you not to have hope in the holy oil and holy water, but to love and believe in the word of God and endeavour to put the word into practice. The reason why you are advised to put your hope in the word of God is because the word of God embodies life, love, good health and other good things. Of a truth, if you put the word of God into practice, you would possess all that is good. Your parents, friends, children, husband, wife, wealth and the rest would deceive you but God would always stand by you; He would never deceive or disappoint you. It is possible for you to even deceive yourself but the word of God would never deceive you because it has never deceived anyone who had trusted and hoped in Him. No matter what you do to the truth, it ever remains unchanging. Even if you cast it into a furnace of fire, down the depth of the sea, or bury it underneath the soil, it will always emerge as the truth without being distorted, and remains constant. As children of the truth, we must radiate truth. Our Father is the truth and so we must also reflect truth in all our dealings. 2.12 The era of truth This is the era of truth and righteousness. It is the appointed time for the children of God to be revealed in righteousness. They were ordained to rule in love, truth, peace and joy. Using the truth as their weapon, the children of God have subdued the whole world. And I ask you: have those looking for a good and perfect man, not found Him in Brotherhood of the Cross and Star? Anybody who exhibits truth, both in words and deeds is a glaring example of a perfect and righteous person. On the other hand, whoever practises falsehood belongs to the kingdom of Satan, and you are advised to steer clear of such a person, even if he is your father, mother, child, sister, brother or friend. Endeavour to put into practice the words received in the New Kingdom, so that the truth may always be found richly in you. Re-examine the Golden Text: Golden text: John 18: 36-38 “Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world; if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. Pilate therefore said unto him. Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. Pilate saith unto him. What is Truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them. I find in him no fault at all.” 2.13 Truth and perfection in Brotherhood of the Cross and Star Those searching for the truth and perfection have found them abundantly in Brotherhood of the Cross and Star. But it is one thing to find what you have been looking for, and yet, another thing to practically demonstrate what you have found. If I may ask, have you made any effort to put into practice the truth and righteousness that you have found in Brotherhood of the Cross and Star? Truth and perfection do not change, neither are they deceptive in any way. If you have just one penny, declare candidly that you have a penny and should not falsely claim to have a pound. Never draw a budget that is greater than what you have, even by one penny. Do not be deceived; a liar does not have any association with God. Since God is truth, therefore, whatever that is not true does not have any affinity with Him. Is it not surprising to know that a renowned lawyer did not know the meaning of one being born again? Displaying his deep ignorance, the lawyer asked our Lord Jesus Christ if he should enter again into his mother's womb and be put to birth as a new baby. Below is the confirmation of this fact as found at John 3:1-5. “...Jesus answered and said unto him. Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, Verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” In another instance, a highly respectable Roman Governor in Israel could not know the meaning of truth and had to seek the answer from our Lord Jesus Christ. This is the biblical reference: John 18: 36 -38. “Jesus answered, my kingdom is not of this world: If my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. Pilate saith unto him. What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews and saith unto them. I find in him no fault at all.” I know that it is my paramount duty to bring to your knowledge the fundamental elements which comprise the divine system of the Almighty God. It is of paramount importance to know that it is only God who is truth and truth is God. You should also know that no other person is truthful apart from God the Father, and only He is good. From this you can now understand that apart from God, no man or spirit can do anything good for you. Put differently and in a simpler way, no man has the knowledge of what the truth is or what righteousness entails. It is only the word of God that is truth, perfect and embodies all goodness. Therefore, everybody should put his hope and trust in the word of God which is God. Keep away from anybody who does not possess or practise the truth. But cling to anyone who is good and also possesses the truth. Brethren, a stroke of cane is sufficient for the wise. Let he who has ears hear what the Holy Spirit has imparted to the whole world.
