Everlasting Gospel
First lesson: John 15:26-27
“But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father..., he shall testify of me ;
And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning."
Second lesson: John 3:29-30
“He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled. He must increase, but I must decrease."
Golden text: Revelations 11:3
“And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy, a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth”
Up till today, many people in the world including members of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star do not know their mission in the world. Many of you come to Brotherhood for various reasons such as healing, songs, visions and prayers. Do you know that all those who come here have specific assignments and duties to perform? Your difficulty is that you do not listen to the directions of your spirit. If you do not fulfill what God has assigned to you, you will not receive any reward.
3.1 You must testify for the work of the Holy Spirit
There are diversities of gifts and administrations although the Spirit is one. Therefore, all of you do not have one and the same duty to perform. That is why we have various officers such as the Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, rulers and helpers. Everyone has not the gift of prayer or vision. However numerous we may be, our obligation is to search and discover our individual gifts from God. When you know your duty, you will have less trouble and friction.
The first lesson has revealed to you that you are called into this ministry to bear witness for the truth. It is ridiculous to observe that many people here, instead of testifying what they know and see they do the contrary. You are witnesses to all that you hear and see, and you are to go out to the world to testify for them. If you have not heard anything, at least you have seen the glory of God, therefore the testimony will not demand any educational qualification or training. You should not lack subject matter for preaching because what we see now is more than what your predecessors (the disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ) saw and heard. The Holy Spirit speaks to you in dreams and in visions. He is doing miraculous work of healing the sick, raising the dead and cleansing the lepers. Have you publicised this good news of the Kingdom to the world? Your main duty is to witness for the work of the Holy Spirit without using your ideas and wisdom.
The woman with the issue of blood who was healed by Jesus is still preached till today. When Peter was warned not to preach in the name of Jesus Christ, he told them that he would not fail to testify what he had seen and heard. When Peter, James and John went with our Lord to pray, Jesus was transfigured, and they heard a voice saying; " This is my beloved Son: hear Him." They preached and witnessed this round the whole world. Christ died for three days and rose again, therefore the Apostles became witnesses of the resurrection. Today all those including little children who were not present during the resurrection are singing and chanting Christ's death and resurrection because of the Apostles testimony. Saul Himself did not see Jesus, but on the way to Damascus. He saw a bright light from heaven and from there he heard a voice saying: “Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?” Saul asked who he was, and the voice said that he is Jesus whom He was persecuting. From that day, Paul started preaching this till today and everybody believed. Lazarus who died for four days and was raised by Christ is still preached till today in the world, and many souls are won for Christ. Let us read our first lesson again.
First lesson: John 15:26-27
“But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, he shall testify of me:
And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.”
For those who complain that they do not know their mission, the above lesson is a reminder. Your commission has been renewed to testify for the Lord because you have been with Him from the beginning. The Holy Spirit Himself bears witness for Christ. Why do you complain that you are not educated, and that you are too young for the prophetic ministry?
3.2 The Holy Spirit bears witness for Christ
You must witness all what is revealed to you in visions and prophecy. The Holy Spirit is doing marvellous work to reveal everything to you and the entire world. He is fulfilling His own assignment for His own blessing, therefore, you must play your own part. The spiritual song says the heavens obey the commandments of God but the earth does not. The Holy Spirit is revealing what Brotherhood is and what will happen in the future. Have you relayed these revelations and teachings to the world? The prophetic and inspired writings from Genesis to Revelation testify for Christ. What of you who are living witnesses? Go and tell the entire world all that you have heard so that it may circulate. The only responsibility of those who live with Christ is to bear testimony for the work that He does. All the songs, dancing, walking and all ramifications of our lives constitute living testimonies for the Holy Spirit. There is no other purpose for which you were called other than to bear witness for the glory of God. Let us read the second lesson again.
Second lesson: John: 3:29-30
“He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled. He must increase, but I must decrease."
Many of you think that when you attribute all healing and preaching to Christ, that you are ignored. John revealed to us that when we ascribe all honour, glory and praise to Christ, He will give us power to become the sons of God.
All those who testify for the mighty and wondrous works performed by Christ, and who tell people that they have no power themselves, have humiliated and diminished themselves and have exalted and superimposed the integrity of Christ. Such people will be empowered to become the children of God. If anyone claims that he has power to heal, raise the dead and cause people to repent, he is not a witness for Christ. If you give a person something and he thanks you, but you advise him to thank Christ who is the giver, you have ignored your personality and exalted the Christ
3.3 John the Baptist witnessed for Christ
God revealed to John secretly to conduct baptism by water and that any man on whom the Spirit descended is the Son of God who would baptise people with the Holy Spirit and fire. John made this vision known to the whole world. After Jesus had been baptised and the Spirit descended on Him, there was a voice from heaven saying that He is God's beloved Son. John bore witness for what he heard and saw and even wrote it down as a permanent record for posterity.
This is the identical work, which is laid to our charge. Do not praise a man or attribute any performance to him because you were called to come and witness for Christ. All the spirits and angels witness that Christ is the ruler of the entire universe and we are to bear the same witness. Testimony and vision, prophesy, gospel are everything. Whatever you do, and whether you pay a million pounds here or not, if you do not bear witness for what you see and hear, you are not for Christ. Testimony is as clear as daylight, because you will claim with full authority that you saw and heard it, and there will be no gainsay from the world. Let us re-examine our golden text.
Golden text: Revelations: 11: 3
“And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy, a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth”
3.4 Witnessing for the Holy Spirit now on earth
The Holy Spirit had already revealed another set of witnesses who will wear sackcloth and prophesy all over the world. The people concerned have been duly informed. This shows you that God does everything by Himself.
Before the birth of John the Baptist, it was revealed that he would come in the Spirit of Elijah; that he would neither eat nor drink anything but locust beans and honey; that he would live in the desert and preach repentance, and that he would be a forerunner of Christ. If you see two people come into your midst and dressed in black, will you not regard them as secret society people, will you remember that they were appointed by Christ to bear witness for Him? In the churches, the Reverend Ministers and Pastors wear black to fulfill the will of God.
3.5 Ecclesiastical duty
These clergy are witnessing for Christ whom they do not know. Therefore, do not be surprised if you see them in black vestment for it is the will of God. Many people in Brotherhood tie black cloth around their waists as girdle to signify the same sackcloth. You wear several colours too in your girdles and each colour has its significance.
If you use this uniform and girdles without witnessing for the Holy Spirit in your midst does this not constitute negligence of duty? The power of witnessing is not from the prophets but from God who commissioned them. He is the person who has now given another set of people the white garment to witness for Him in this generation. You are that new set in white garment.
3.6 Types of witnesses: their garments
The Lawyers and judges wear black when they are on judgment seat. If it is revealed to you that you should wear this sackcloth, do so and bear the witness round the world. If you disobey, you have not done your duty. From the Scriptures, we learn that the Holy Spirit, you and two special witnesses have been ordained by God for the witnessing exercise, but note the difference in their testimonies. The two witnesses indicated in the Scripture may mean three or a thousand such witnesses, but in the Spiritual terminology, a pair is always the fundamental. You are witnesses of what you see and hear, while those wearing the sackcloth bear witness of the judgment day. Their witness is that judgment is at hand and that people should repent and believe in Christ. Those who believe are saved while the unbelievers are condemned.
You who wear white will testify to the world that God is here with us teaching us and has healed the sick and raised the dead and that they should come and rejoice. The last two witnesses in black will then inform the world that although they are healed, if they do not repent from their sins, judgment will come. When you are asked to wear white you wear black and vice versa, are you obeying God? There are other sets that wear purple for the same administration of God's government. All the colours of your girdle have meaning and special duties, but how many of you know this? How many of you bear witness for what you are wearing? The white cloth is a royal vestment and when the world disbelieves your testimonies, those who wear black will step in to testify about judgment of both believers and unbelievers. This is God's own arrangement to ensure we witness properly about His glory.
He that has ears to hear let him hear, and may God bless His holy words; Amen.
THANK YOU FATHER
