SUBMIT TO YOUR RULERS

First lesson: Romans 13: 1-2 “Let every soul be subject unto the higher power. For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God : and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? Do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same.” Second lesson: Hebrews 13: 17 “Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, with grief: for that is unprofitable for you” Golden text: 1Peter 2 :13 -14 “Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the praise of them that do well.” Brethren, the fall of man emanates from this gospel I am going to deliver today. From the time of Adam to the present day, man has continued to be falling because he does not submit to his ruler. A sister and her brother stay at home but she does not submit to him (the husband) children do not submit to their elders afterall. In the cities, no subject submits to the rulers. The citizens of a country do not submit to the government. Nobody listens to the police. You do not regard the police, you disrespect the soldiers and you are unpatriotic to the government; how do you think there can be peace? Why did God create a man and a woman? Why does God appoint one out of two as a leader and not both? He does this to keep peace We have to submit to anybody that is placed in authority to rule over us. You do not submit to your rulers yet, you say you know God. If you do not submit to the rulers can you know God? 1.1 Obey your Rulers In the church, you do not listen to the Pastor. You pay deaf ears to the Elder while you trample on the instructions of the Bishop, what do you think you are? Despite these, you still go about with a Bible in your hand. I appeal that from today, submit unto your rulers. Whether the person is your enemy or otherwise, once he is appointed as your ruler or placed in a position of authority, you have to regard him but now the reverse is the case and that is why destruction has befallen man. The down fall of man is what we are telling you about. Why did Adam suffer? It was because he did not submit to his ruler. God instructed the couple (Adam and Eve) eat all the fruits in the Garden of Eden excepting one that was in the centre. He advised them not to take instructions from anybody because He would teach them all things. If Adam had taken God to be his ruler and submitted entirely to him, nothing would have happened to him. Anybody placed in authority over you has the mandate to rule over you, and you have to submit to him. This is because God has made it so. If you say you know the truth and lacking knowledge of the above; it means you have not known anything. All men and animals were created by God and He has put them in different positions. Give everyone the due respect. If you fight with anyone placed above you, know that you fight with God and therefore bring problems to yourself. Even if your own child is placed over you, you have to obey him. If you find that a younger one than you has been ordained, you have to respect him. This is the. cause of your innumerable problems. You say, you cannot cooperate. If you refuse his order you have ultimately refused the order of God and invite problems unto yourself. The text says - 'Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God; and they that resist shall receive damnation.' In the school, the student does not submit to his teacher. In the church nobody respects the Pastor, Bishop or any other placed above him. In the village nobody recognises the chief or ruler. Know that when somebody gives birth to twins, the one that comes out first is the senior. The second one therefore has to submit to him.. We do not do this and as a result we have problems. God has made man and woman and instructed that the woman should submit to him. while the man should love the woman.. If both were to heed this instruction there would certainly be no trouble in any home. In the city, the chief is supposed to keep things in order and love all his subjects as his own children but he refuses to do this. The young men and women are supposed to submit to the elders but they equally refuse to do so. How do you expect progress in that city? If I continue to enumerate what our stubbornness has caused us, we shall all be disturbed. Our first parents (mother and father) disobeyed, hence our suffering. God instructed that all creations should submit to our Lord Jesus Christ but Lucifer would not agree.. He disobeyed and was, as a result thrown out. That is how he lost his position and glory. He lost that exalting position and now he wanders about as satan with no resting place.. This is because he refused to honour and submit to our Lord Jesus Christ. 1.2 Disobedience to rulers is disobedience to God Every time we disobey our rulers. Do you not know that when you struggle with a recognized authority, it is synonymous to fighting God thus bringing punishment to yourself? Remember the king of Assyria who refused to submit to Hezekiah. Because of that he and his people perished. When God sent Moses to tell Pharaoh to let His people go, it was not war against him, but Pharaoh answered, 'You stupid ,boy, get out!' And where is Pharaoh? He perished with all his henchmen. All these are to let us learn our lessons. Whatever happens to man, he is the causative agent. God has made man a ruler and now you say you cannot submit to man. Do you not think you are creating troubles for yourself? God appoints and we all agree that He has used us to appoint a leader but we fail to submit to him. Do you see the problem? Yet you say that you are wise What wisdom is there when you do not submit to your rulers? Go to any of the cities and you will see that people tight with their chiefs and even with the government representatives. As a result of this, governments and villages do not progress because of lack unity. Alright, as you do not submit to your ruler, if that leader is taken away do you have light? Can a city or village without a head grow well? Can a gathering without a head function well? Now, you plan to kill the one placed in authority above you or at least remove him.; if God removes him how will you feel? From time immemorial, this has always brought trouble to mankind. If our forefathers did that and were punished, do we want the same punishment to be meted out on us? When When our Lord Jesus Christ raised Lazarus from dead, His fame reached everywhere. The chief priest held a meeting and plotted to kill Him. The chief priest of that time Caiaphas asked the others “Do you not think it is better men to die than for a whole nation to perish? He was prophesying the death of our Lord Jesus Christ because they hated Him for His achievement. If our Lord Jesus Christ were to continue all would have followed Him. As they were eating the people were having that idea. They had decided to kill him. But did that stop his leadership? At another instance, Judas Iscariot brought about 400 soldiers and betrayed our Lord Jesus Christ, He was later killed but this did not demean His leadership either. Is that what people are supposed to do; to organise and kill their leader? God is the only Leader, He is the only teacher and in fact the only sovereign. Anything at all you see comes from God and if you do not submit to that rule you bring problem unto yourself. If a woman says that her husband does not take care of her she is only being stubborn. If you see a worker who unnecessarily complains of headache and other ailments at work, he does not submit. If you see somebody in a city that says his children are this or that, it is just because he himself does not submit to his leader. Owing to this, you suffer and there is tribulation in the whole world. Do you not know that when you kill the shepherd, the sheep scatter? Nigeria is but a young country and since they slay their heads always, they continue to be young. This is because they do not submit to their rulers. In America, India and other countries the situation is not different. They call it wisdom but is it truly wisdom? The time has come for us to know ourselves. Look at London. The Queen has been there for years. 'Mind your own business,' is the practice there. Even if a child is placed at the head, they will submit to him. They keep to this rule. You must know that the soldiers, police and all other government functionaries appointed are from God. The pity is that you have brought this attitude into the. Kingdom of God. You do not respect the ordained ones or the bethel mother or the visioner. You do not regard the Elder let alone the chorister. You say you all look up to the Father alone. Do you really know the Father? 1.3 Your wrong idea of equality You say that you are all equal but the sermon of equality we preach here means that the elder should respect the ordained one, the chorister should respect the elder and similarly the elder should respect the chorister. This is because God's approval has been given to these varied positions. If in your village someone is elected to be the chief you must respect him and submit to his rulership. Respect your husband. Respect your elder. As a worker, respect your head of department. Respect the government. Do what is good that they order you to do. Anybody that says he loves God but disrespects the government is not a lover of God. What makes the government have problem is the eye service we pay to our service. Even if a person is a messenger, respect him for he is appointed by God. Give people the honour they are due. Do not look down on any person because that has brought great punishments unto many You cannot love God and quarrel with your government. You cannot love God and quarrel with the authorities of your university neither can you love God and quarrel with the chief and elders of your town or village. You cannot know the truth and still struggle with the church. The person you meet wherever you go is God himself. Nobody can advise God because He is perfect. If a blind man is made chief you must not remove him because it is God that puts him there. If leadership is given to an ignorant man and you decide to remove him you only end up causing disarray.. I do not intend to be hard with .you; let us hear our first reading. First lesson; Romans 13: 1- 2 “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.” Brethren, have you seen what brings trouble to the world? The whole world is at war with itself because of this. It brings untold sufferings and even death. Submit and surrender to your village head. Everything is known to God and He alone can make and do what He likes. Submit yourself to the good chief submit to the bad chief as well. Submit to your husband. Submit to all those placed above you. 1.4 Imitate David's respect to King Saul Why did King Saul hate David and chase him to kill? The women were the cause. The women shouted Saul's cowardice in killing only a thousand while crediting David with ten thousands so Saul said they have ascribed unto David ten thousands and to me they have ascribed but thousands.' He feared that David was going to take his position and so trouble started. The glory that should have been given to him as king was instead given to David. But what did David do? He still regarded Saul as his, ruler. Saul was trying to kill him and he was also trying to save himself. Learn a lesson from David because he said, submit to the ruler because his position is from God. Do you remember when David spared the life of Saul at Engedi? While chasing David in wilderness of Engedi, Saul came by a cave and decided to have a rest. He covered his feet and slept off unknown to him that David and his men remained on the sides of the same cave The men of David said unto him, 'Behold the day of which the Lord said unto thee. Behold I will deliver thine enemy unto thine hand, that thou mayest do to him as it shall seem good unto thee.' David even cut off the skirt of Saul's robe privately but He later regretted and said unto his men, "The Lord forbid that I should do this thing unto my master, the Lord's anointed, to stretch forth mine hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the Lord.' You see David said he could not kill the anointed of God; so whether it is the government, head of department or any other that despises you, do not revenge because it is God that placed him there. When Saul woke up and started off from the cave he did not know what had happened but David followed him and called 'My Lord,' He stooped with his face to the earth and bowed himself. Then he said, 'Behold this day .thine eyes have seen how that the Lord had delivered thee to day into mine hand in the cave and some bade me to kill thee but mine eyes spared thee and I said, I will not put forth mine hand against my Lord, for he is the Lord's anointed. He showed Saul the skirt of his robe that he (David) cut. That was an exhibit and Saul said 'Oh! my son, I do not know what is causing .me to do all these things.' He asked, 'Is this my son, David Thou art more righteous than I; for thou has rewarded me good where as I have rewarded thee evil.' He wept and begged David to come back home. But Saul, despite all this was still thinking of a way to kill David. You see that in that instance God gave Saul over to David. I am now telling you in the whole world to stop killing your rulers for God placed all in their positions. Today, you hear Nigeria has killed her leader and you laugh. Tomorrow you hear that Ghana has executed her Head of State you rejoice. It is reported that this government or the other has been overthrown and you are happy. What is the use of all that? We overthrow the leaders of our villages only to bring problems unto ourselves because God placed them there. Do not pass any judgement on any leadership. Do not talk about your husband and do not struggle with the government because it is God that placed all of them in their various positions. I entreat you all Brotherhood members never to go on strike. All that wage war with any government wage war with God. What happened to the Israelites when they wanted freedom from the Romans and therefore raised their heads? They wanted to rule but what happened? They were driven out and scattered to other parts of the world where they became known as refugees. What about Germany? And I ask, what do you lose in submitting yourself to the rulership of the government? That is why Brotherhood has no trouble. 1.5 Good rulers need good followers A woman says she is looking for a good husband but fails to be of good behaviour. A man says he wants a good wife but also fails to be good himself, If you want a good government you must be a good citizen. You must know that anything you see is from God. When the Israelites were moving to Canaan, the first thing they asked foi was a ruler from God. You have been told not to advise or ask for anything from God. Whatever you choose is an insult to God and that is why you have what you have now. Whatever you want people to do apply same unto others. If you want people to be good be good yourself. The Israelites asked for a ruler and Samuel who was leading them was displeased but God told Samuel, 'Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.' God then gave them Saul who you all know was very strong. If you are strong, you should definitely have a strong ruler. If Nigeria needs a good ruler, they should be good. If Africa needs a good leader they must be good and if the Western World needs a good ruler they must equally be good themselves. Whether your ruler is good or bad it is incumbent upon you to submit to his rulership. Nothing is hidden to God. That is why He said, 'I raised Pharaoh.' Whatever you do I see. Have no share in any evil plan so that when trouble comes the tormentor will bear all. I say this to all in the whole world that, 'you should stop coup planning! It has brought problems to the whole world. Whether good or bad, submit to the rulers. Your assignment is to submit to the ruler. You must submit to your husband. Do not say until they know God. God brought our Lord Jesus Christ to teach the Israelites but they started to ask him questions. If they had taken to his teachings of 'Love one another' Israel would have ruled the whole world- Any country that will take to that love will rule the whole world. God does not say that a woman should rule over a man. Instead He said that a man should rule over a woman and he, man must as well love his woman. God does not say that parents should submit to their children rather they should love their children and the children should in turn honour and submit to their parents. Unfortunately when you are told to give honour to a man you ask, WHY? But if you do not submit to man who else will you submit yourself to? Let us hear our second lesson. Second lesson: Hebrews 13: 17 “Obey them that have the rule over you and submit yourselves; for they watch for your souls as they that must give account that they may do it with joy, and not with grief for that is unprofitable for you.” 1.6 Man always rejects leaders sent by God to them Brethren, have you heard that? God sent Moses to the Israelites but did they submit to him? He was called by God to collect the commandments. In his absence they called Aaron to make another God for them. They put Moses aside and did not recognise as their leader any longer. At last all of them perished. He told them not to commit adultery but they did not hearken to his instructions. They said they did not know him, and that they knew Abraham, When Our Lord Jesus Christ came they said He was beelzebub (the prince of devil) and shouted that they knew Moses and did not know him. They claimed that they knew his mother and his father who was a carpenter. Do you see that? That was their end. So let us submit ourselves to the leaders. Before Moses was born there was a revelation that a great King would be born and Pharaoh wanted to know when and where. When he was born and Pharaoh could not see Him even after consulting oracles, soothsayers and magicians, he ordered that all children aged 3 months and below be killed and it was accordingly accomplished but Moses was very safe. When Our Lord Jesus Christ was born the wise men went to Herod and asked where the king of the Jews had been born. Herod inquired when he was born and the wise men told them it was about 2 years. Herod cunningly advised them to go back and tell him after locating where the child was so that he would also go and worship him. But when it was revealed to them the sinister plans Herod had, they were directed not to go back and inform him. He also instructed all children aged between two years and below should be killed. Consequently, there was the massacre of children at that time. Were they not coups? Because of Our Lord Jesus Christ they killed their leaders, but Our Lord lived on. Now the same thing is happening in your village. Anybody who is a bit progressive is killed.. God "has sent somebody in your Local Government Area to come and wipe away your tears. He has not offended any but you are planning daily to get rid of his life. God sends one prophet and you kill him. He sends another and all you think of is to kill him. You drink, fornicate, and say you cannot stop eating fish and meat. What is your use? Malachi 3:8-10 teaches us of the importance of paying tithe. God says we have cheated him not paying our tithes to Him and ordered that we should give Him one-tenth of our wealth so that He will have abundant food in His store. Abraham paid tithe to Melchizedek but have you not refused to pay? Do not reject the rulership of the leaders. Do you not see the love of God? He said the Comforter that his Father would send in his name would teach all things. Know from today that I have not come to teach the whites alone. Neither have I come to teach the blacks alone. I have come to teach all the creations of God including all human beings, animals, birds, fishes and the rest. Do you not see what is happening? The Nigerian Television - NTA should have televised things going on here to appraise the whole world that the Comforter-has arrived. Moses did not come for part but the whole Israel. In the same way Our Lord Jesus did not come for any specific tribe but for the whole world. You are told that the Comforter will teach all and therefore all are expected to submit themselves to him. Whether you are a President, a Governor, commissioner, a millionaire, a Professor or anything, you must submit to the Comforter, the Holy Spirit - that Spirit of Truth. If Moses led us to the promised land would Our Lord Jesus Christ have come? If Our Lord Jesus Christ finished everything would he have promised that His Father would send the Comforter to us? Moses came but he was rejected. They said they did not know him but they knew only Abraham. Later they said Moses gave them manna but Our Lord Jesus Christ said that it was his Father that gave them the manna and not Moses. He reminded them that their fathers ate manna and died. Our Lord Jesus Christ was consequently rejected. Now they say that they know Our Lord Jesus Christ who changed water into wine and raised the dead. Jesus raised Lazarus but who raised Jesus? It was not Moses that sent the manna down but it was the Father. It was not Noah that made the Ark but God. It was not Our Lord Jesus Christ that raised himself but he was raised by God, the Father. You say you love Our Lord Jesus Christ but not Olumba Olumba Obu. But Our Lord Jesus Christ said that when the Comforter comes He will lead you unto the accurate knowledge of the truth. Submit to the rulers. He has come to save your soul and he will account for your souls so do not let him shed tears. The time is short. The whites do not want to lead because they do not know. It is said when all hopes are lost the Comforter appears. That is why we have the song 'Spirit Obong Uwem Dida Usung' which means: 'The Holy Spirit of the Lord should come and lead'. You say you cannot leave what your forefathers worshipped. Who are they? My Father is on the throne. The owner of the Universe has come. I speak from the highest heaven. If Israel listened and practised they would have dodged the calamity that befell them. Your money does not count here. Your certificates and eloquence do not count, your beauty does not count. Only the practice of the word of God counts here. Take note of this gospel because God has appointed His own group of people. 1.7 The Holy Spirit has come Our Lord Jesus Christ said we should call no one teacher for he is the only teacher. The Holy Spirit has come to lead us unto the accurate knowledge of truth.. He is to take us to the truth. He has come to remove tears from our eyes; to raise us to the initial glory that God made for us. Therefore do not let him work in sorrow. It profited you nothing to fornicate, steal, murder, backbite prepare concoctions and continue in your sinful acts. So let us hearken to His instructions. Moses, Isaac and the rest did not lead you to the promised land otherwise our Lord Jesus Christ would not have said that when the Comforter comes he will lead you unto the accurate knowledge of the truth. But now, you say you know only Jesus. This is not the time of stupidity. God said He would raise a prophet and all would hearken unto his instructions. All that would not heed his teachings would be destroyed. Whether you are a bishop, a governor or what, just hearken unto your leaders. Submit yourselves to them. Those people who are speaking against you do they know what they are doing? If Melchizedek completed the work Moses would not have come, Abraham did not, neither Melchizedek finished the work. Know that when a war becomes harder, it is then the king comes. The Holy Spirit has come to unite the whole world so there is no black, no white, no young, no old, no man, no woman, no Jew, no Greek, we are all one and equal. Let our Golden Text be read. Golden text: 1Peter 2; 13.14 “Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.” Have you heard that? You say you do not want to hear this. Do you know God? When the Government says this, some churches say they will not comply. Is the government not from God? The churches of this world, the rulers, the police, the soldiers, the headmasters, the Vice Chancellors - all are from the same God. Submit yourselves therefore to them in order to have peace. In the church, the Pastor, the Deaconess, the Bishop, the Prophets, the Pope are all made by God so submit to them. In the town, you find the Chief, the men, the women, the girls, the boys, the elders - they are all made by God. Any group of people that offends in a village there is always another group that deals with them so the government does not bother herself to go into the matter. All groups and individuals work hand in hand. Farmers, society men etc. must all practise love one another. Do not judge one another. Do not say you are a Brotherhood member and then go to work late or fail to submit to your husband. If you fail to do the right thing you are not Brotherhood, and will not come in here. The anti-Christ say they will not take part in anything that brings progress in the towns, yet, they send their children to schools in the towns. If you are a child of God you will know that heaven and earth belong to God. Do not put leaders in your town, house, church or government into shame. Respect ail of them. Why do you go to destroy somebody's juju? And surprisingly too, you also have one in your house. If you do not see and recognise juju, apparition, concoction, witchery and the rest, you would not bother your heads about them. I do not see any. Do not punish somebody that does not go to church. You who go always what has been its impact on you? Give all - women, children, men and indeed everybody their due respect as in 1st Timothy 5: 1-2 “Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren; the elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters with all purity.” The governor, the chief, the headmaster are all placed in their positions by God to lead, and if you kick against them you kick against God. The gospel says submit yourself to all that are placed above you. You say the government is bad but I say NO! Is any government bad with Brotherhood? The government loves and wants Brotherhood. Those who hate Brotherhood are the children of perdition. So you are told to submit to the rulers. Do you not see the white man in our midst leaving all his work to be here to do this work What are you sitting here for? We have to take the news to all places of the universe and not to sit at one place and criticize. The gospel of God should go everywhere. Tell Peter to put the knife in its right place. Our Lord Jesus Christ told Peter to do same, because whoever kills will be killed. Let us refrain from our wrong doings. If the leader or ruler is not good, the Father himself will remove him. Leave everyone to himself. There is time for everything and the time for love, peace, joy, humility and meekness has now come. God has a purpose for creating a woman. Whatever she does leave her to herself, leave man also to himself. Do not criticize anyone. If they commit evil it is God that will judge them. You have your assignment and the children have their own. It is only God that will do the judgement. I want you to put it in mind that everybody has his/her own role. God created man and He created woman but man does not recognise woman. Do not behave that way. Everybody is free so give everybody the due respect. The Father does not want to be hard with you. He says one stroke of the cane is sufficient unto the wise. Let those who have ears hear and may God bless His holy words; Amen. THANK YOU FATHER.
