Everlasting Gospel
First lesson: Galatians 6: 7
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”
Second lesson: Ephesians 6: 7-8
"With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: Knowing that whatsoever good things any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free."
Golden Text: Colossians 3: 24-25
"Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons."
You will realise that those who always argue that when they do good to people they are paid back with a bad coin are liars. It is said that whatever a man sows, same will he reap. If you do evil, you will reap the fruits of evil. If you do good, you will also reap the fruits of goodness. God is no respecter of any person. Whether you are a man or woman, when you do good or evil, you will receive your reward accordingly. If you go to a strange land, and as a stranger there, you do what is good, you will be rewarded accordingly. No person will argue that because you are a stranger, you should not be rewarded for the good things you have done. If you are in prison and while there, you do what is good, no person will argue that you should not be rewarded accordingly because you are a prisoner. If you are a governor and you do evil, you will not fail to reap the fruits of your evil doing even as a governor. If you are a bishop and you continue to commit sins, you will be rewarded accordingly even as a bishop for the sins you have committed.
3.1 A man's rewards are determined by the deeds he performed
If you are a member of a church denomination and you do that which is good in the sight of God you will be rewarded accordingly. Whether you go to church or not but you do that which is good you will be rewarded accordingly, for the good things you have done. Your problem is that you hear the word of God but fail to believe. If this good news were to belong to two or three persons who believe, I do not think any person in the entire world would do that which is evil Even if 25% of the population of the whole world were to believe in this gospel, I do not think that there would be any person who would not do that which is good daily.
3.2 God is no respecter of persons
What is the usefulness of committing sin? What is sinful in somebody doing what is good in the sight of God? If you do what is good, you do it to yourself and if you do what is evil you do it to yourself also. If you stay in your marital home and commit evil you will stay right there and receive your due reward. If you are a son and you commit evil in your father's house, you will be punished accordingly as a son for sins. God is no respecter of any person.
Whether you are a king, or lord, or millionaire, or president, or prince or princess or whatever you may be, God is no respecter of any person.
3.3 God cannot be deceived
I preach to you from the 1st of January to 31st December every year about the glory of God but you do not want to listen. You go about deceiving people and committing sins and afterwards you complain that upon all the good things you have done to God, you have never received any reward. It is what you have planted for yourself that you reap. Two persons baptized into Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, one continues to do that which is good while the other continues to sin, note that both of them will receive their due rewards accordingly, good reward for the good things you have done and punishment for the evil you have committed. If two friends attend the Roman Catholic Church and one engages in doing good while the other commits evil, the one who does what is good will receive good reward for his good work while the one who commits evil will be punished for the evil things he has committed. If two persons are Muslims and one engages in goodness while the other one continues in evil, the one who does good will receive the reward of his goodness and the one who commits evil will be punished for his evil work. If two persons stay in their houses and one does what is good while the other does what is evil, the one who does what is good will be rewarded accordingly for his good deeds while the one who commits evil will be rewarded with evil. Two people may live in the same house one goes to church while the other does not. If the one who does not go to church does that which is good he will receive the good fruits of his work, while the one who goes to church but does evil will be punished, even if he shouts on the name of the Lord for Salvation. If two people go to church and both of them engage in what is good they will be rewarded accordingly for their good deeds. If two persons on the other hand stay in their homes and do not go to church but continue to engage in what is good, both of them will be rewarded accordingly for their good deeds.
3.4 Only our Lord Jesus Christ can save mankind
Brethren, you will now realise that your salvation does not depend on whether you go to church or not. Your salvation derives only from doing what is good in the sight of God. Church attendance is not important and therefore whether you go to church or stay in your house does not matter, what is important is engaging yourself in doing that which is good in the sight of God. It is not important for you to ask God to give you long life or wealth or children. What is important is for you to do good. Adam lived for 930 years and since he did not do what is good he was not saved. Noah lived much longer than Adam but did his long life save mankind? Many others in those days lived quite long but since they did not do that which was right, did their long life save them? Our Lord Jesus the Christ lived only for 33 years out of which He served for only 3½ years. The 3½ years have saved mankind today. That is why our spiritual chorus says, "work hard because it is through your hard work that you can be saved.”
3.5 Nobody does anything bad against you
Your father cannot save you, neither can your mother or indeed any other person or any other god save you but whatever you sow same shall you reap. Many people erroneously complain that it is their parents or friends or relations who kill them and bring them ill luck. This is not true. If you continue to commit evil, evil shall find you out. If your parents and brothers and sisters are thieves but you alone do what is good you will be rewarded according to your good works. If all members of your community or village or city are murderers, but you continue to do that which is good, you will be rewarded accordingly for your good works and you will not have any problems. That is why it is said that the entire world does not believe in God. You complain that your wife/husband has committed one thing or the other or that this person has done one thing or the other. Your wife or husband or government or church has done nothing, the position is that you are reaping the fruits you sowed. When you complain that God has done you one thing or the other, you are telling lies. God has not done anything to you, rather you are being rewarded according to your deeds.
3.6 Children rewarded by a father according to their work
God does not praise any person and He does not find fault in anybody. I want to use an earthly situation to illustrate a heavenly situation. Once upon a time, there was a man who had three children. He called the three of them one day and asked them to go to the farm and harvest all the yams planted in the farm. When they went to the farm, the first and the third sons were not serious with the work and put in only very little efforts. The second son worked very hard and did his utmost to harvest plentifully. The first and the third sons then started murmuring against the second that their father had many labourers and he did not therefore matter whether or not they worked, since the yams would be shared equally amongst them. They were angry first with their father and then with their brother.
After sometime their father visited them in the farm with some food and words of encouragement to enable them work hard. When the harvest was completed they returned home and reported to their father. The man instructed them that each person should go and gather together whatever he harvested. Since it was the second son who was more diligent than others, the other two quarreled and argued that they would not accept their father's instruction. The first son who harvested only 30 yams had to gather only 30 and the third son who harvested 15 yams gathered only 15. But the second son who did the greatest percentage of the harvest gathered the greatest number of the yams. Brethren, you will realise that at the end of the harvest when they went home and food was prepared for them, the other two were laughing at the second that he had only wasted his time and energy labouring for nothing. And, at this stage their father did not disclose to them his intension. It all dawned on them and they came to their senses when their father directed that whatever each person had harvested belonged to the harvester. It was at that stage they shouted, cried and resisted all to no avail because it was the time for them to reap the fruits of their toil. They then turned to their father and questioned why he did not tell them ever before they started the harvest. Yet it was too late and the father did not change his order nor were the two sons able to change the position. If you like to believe this gospel, do so and keep it to yourself but if you do not like to believe continue in your ways. What I am preaching now is about myself. It is because of the good work of our Lord Jesus Christ that people are referring to him today as “a good friend of all.” Why is that goodness not applicable to you now? Are you with him now or you are against Him? He has been glorified; have you been glorified with Him? He showed us the example which we have to emulate and if we walk according to His instructions and follow His teachings then we shall be saved. But if we persist in our sinful ways even if we shout on top of our voices Jesus! Jesus!! we shall remain where we are. That is why members of various church denominations continue to complain and question why they should work and continue in poverty and misery. Our Lord Jesus Christ worked for Himself and you too should work for yourself. He has taught us that whatever you want people to do to you, you should do same to others first. Whatever you do you will be rewarded accordingly. It is a pathetic situation to realize that throughout the whole Christendom nobody has practised the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ except the twelve disciples. The first lesson will now be read, listen very attentively.
First lesson: Galatians 6:7
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”
There is no word of God that shall not be manifested. It is said that heaven and earth will pass away but the word of God will not pass away until everything is fulfilled.
3.7 Seek no commendations when you do good to anyone
After reading this gospel and believing in it, would you persist in sinfulness? If you listen to the word of God and believe in it and then start to practise it too, why do you argue that you have been kind to somebody? You have done nothing to somebody but to yourself. Whatever you can do; do it because you are doing to yourself. You complain that you did something to somebody and the person refused to thank you. For what do you want him to thank you? You have done nothing to him but to yourself. Whoever does what is good and expects to be thanked, dwells in darkness and cannot see. And whoever does evil is dead completely. I was born with the lesson, I am imparting to you now, I did not study or read it from any book. I have no business with anything evil. I do not expect any person to thank me. The only person you have to thank is God.
3.8 It is more blessed to practise the word of God
Remember when that woman said to our Lord Jesus Christ blessed is the womb that bore thee and the breast that thou has sucked, what did He say? He said, it is more blessed to hear the word of God and put it into practise. Coming here everyday so that God may heal your infirmities, give you a wife or husband, or bless you with wealth, means nothing if you continue to commit sins. Infact, you do more harm than good to yourself. If somebody gives you food, clothing, money and respects you too but you continue to hate him, to steal his property, to tell lies to him, and to deceive him, you stand to gain nothing. You should realise that when you do that, you do more harm than good to yourself.
3.9 You stand answerable to whatever happens to you
Therefore brethren, what I am telling you now cannot be waived by prayer or fasting If you commit sin and then fast and pray for the sins to be removed, you are wasting your own time. You have to be rewarded according to your sinfulness. If you do anything good no matter how minute it would be, even if the entire world rise up against you, nobody will be able to overcome you and destroy that good work, you can always be sure of having God by your side. God cannot rob from Peter and pay to Paul. What I have done cannot be given to you neither can what you have done be given to me. Every person is rewarded with whatever he does. That is why I always disagree when you say that if you do good to people they reward you with evil. That is not true. You reap only what you sow. Whatever besets mankind is what it has sown for itself. Do not blame our Lord Jesus Christ; do not blame your wife or your husband or your children, or indeed any other person. You have got yourself to blame for whatever happens to you.
3.10 In all conditions continue in good works
An English adage says that there is no need to cry over spilt milk. When you argue that if you had known that certain things would happen, you would have done one thing or another it means that it is too late. Whatever you do is accompanied with reward. Therefore it is safe to do what is good in the sight of God always.
You should realise that whatever you do the law of Karma will not fail to take its course. If you begin now to rearrange your thinking and refrain from evil, then it will be well with you. But if you continue in your evil ways, then even the ones you had already done will be revisited on you. If you do two good things and at the same time you do two evil things you will be rewarded accordingly and proportionately. That explains why our lives are full of ups and downs. If you do twenty good things and then add two evil things there too, the two evil deeds would not fail to manifest themselves even after you have been rewarded for the 20 good things you have done. I often hear people pray that whatever they do to the Father should be used in saving them. That type of situation is not obtainable here. Others pray that the good they do should cover the evil ones. That situation is also not applicable here. If you love yourself then you have to continue in well doing.
The reason you are being referred to as Brotherhood of the Cross and Star is that from this time on you should forget about anything evil. Engage yourself in doing what is good at all times and do not want to recall the past. And even if the evil things you had done continue to recur, continue to do that which is good and gradually you will overcome evil and would then pass from Cross to Star.
3.11 The only way to salvation is to do good works
God is love. He caters for us and protects us. He does not wish that we should die or that anything bad should beset us. But if you disgrace somebody, defraud him do anything harmful and unpleasant to him, then you will surely be rewarded in the same measure you gave. I often hear some people say that the Father is so nice and good, despite the evil things they have committed he still loves them. Who tells you he loves you? Have you not reaped the fruits of the evil things that you have committed? God does not punish any person, but you simply reap what you sow. If you do good you will reap the fruits of your good works and if you commit evil, the same fruits of evil work will you reap. That is the reason our Lord Jesus Christ has taught us not to resist an evil doer, that if somebody slaps you on the right cheek turn the left to him, if somebody compels you to work a mile, go with him 2 miles, and whoever requests anything from you, do not refuse him. Finally, He enjoins that you should love your enemies. There is no other source of salvation to mankind other than doing that which is good.
3.12 Retributive justice takes its course in all things
Do not have it in your mind that God will use the good works of another to help you. Also do not ever think that God will punish another person for your sinfulness. That situation is not obtainable here. If your father does what is evil in the sight of God, he will be punished accordingly. If the man's child comes out and does what is good in the sight of God, that child will receive the appropriate reward for his good deeds. That is why God has no conflict with any person and that is why He conquers the entire world and has no business with anybody. If you like to pray you can pray because you are only praying for yourself. If you wish to go to church, or to pray or to fast do so. Whatever you do, you are doing it to yourself. Whatever a man soweth same shall he reap.
3.13 The call of Samuel
You err if you assume that your father is hard working and because of that you will share his blessings. Your father is blessed independently and you have to do good to merit your own blessing. Do you not remember Eli who was a prophet of God? He had two sons who did not believe in God. They lived abominable lives which did not please God. Eli himself did not train and nurture them in the wisdom of God. That was why the hand of God rested upon Eli and his children. Eli was thinking that in his absence his children will take over his position. He was thinking as human but God had his own plan. Man proposes but God disposes. Hannah who was barren was blessed with a son called Samuel, and she offered him as tithe to God. Eli did not know that Samuel was the person who would succeed him. He was thinking within himself, the rationale of Hannah bringing Samuel to him when he has two sons already to work for him and succeed him. He infact asked Hannah to come and take the child away. Know this that Samuel did not come from Eli's family nor had he anything to do with Samuel. But Samuel was blessed by God who because he did everything according to the precepts of God. God did not give as a condition that Samuel must be begotten by Eli, but He realised that Samuel was upright in his ways and that was why he was selected.
When God called him, Samuel! Samuel!!, he woke up and ran to his master Eli, and asked him whether he was calling him but Eli said no. Samuel went back to sleep. God called him again Samuel! Samuel! and he woke up again and ran to his master and asked whether he called him and the master said he did not call him. But Eli realised that God was calling Samuel. That episode worried Eli so much and for that reason he ordered Samuel to disclose to him whatever God would reveal to him otherwise woe would be his. This would reveal to you to what extent Eli was jealously troubled in mind and how wonderful he was. Eli then instructed Samuel whenever the voice would call again, he should answer, “Lord speak, thy servant heareth."
When Samuel went back and slept the voice called him again and he responded as he was directed. God then started revealing Himself to Samuel and told him that the Ark of covenant will be taken away from Israel by the Philistines and what would happen to Eli and his children and every other thing that was going to happen in Israel. After hearing all these revelations, Samuel obediently went to Eli and narrated everything to him.
3.14 The end of Prophet Eli and his children
It is said for the sins they had committed they were destroyed from the surface of the earth. But the moment you repent salvation will come upon you. That was why when the people went to war they lost their Ark of covenant and the two sons of Eli were killed. When the soldiers came back from war Eli asked them how the war was and they replied that it was unfavourable. When he also learnt that the battle had claimed his two sons, he dropped on the 'ground and died. Three of them died on the same day and his house was no more. Who do you think did that? It was not because of their father they died neither was it because of the sins of his children that Eli died but each person paid his own price.
3.15 Each person bears his own burden
Remember that Job was rich, upright and served God all day. Each time he went to sacrifice to God, he did so for himself and his children. But did God answer him? Whatever he did for himself he also did for his children so that God may save and protect them. God did not hearken to such prayers. God is no respecter of any person. Sometimes you pray to God that you have children who have refused to know God and that he should through you bless them, have you heard what happened to others? Why do you expect or think that God would save your children who are indulging in stealing, fornication, falsehood and committing other forms of vices. Your children are not punished because you cannot pray or fast effectively but because they have to reap the fruits of their sinfulness. God cannot hearken to your prayer to the extent of also saving your sinful children. Your goodness is for your Salvation alone. If your family feels that you are upright and want to be saved they too should refrain from evil and come to God that they may be saved. If you are serving God, but members of your family continue to steal, fornicate and indulge in other vices, do not question why they should be beset with evil. Whatever happens to them is the direct result of their sinfulness. Remember the case of Job, because he was upright and served God wholeheartedly. God offered everything in Job's possession to Satan but warned him (satan) never to temper with Job's life. His children all died, gone, and his wealth vanished. J ob did not relent in the service of God and so nothing tempered with his life because he was upright. He said to God thou gavest and thou takest away, naked I came into the world and naked will I return, thou had never committed any evil. At this time Job was also suffering from a painful boil. He was rejected by every person including his family. Despite all that, Job did not deny God because he knew that God had never made a mistake. If he had anything to blame, he would blame the month he was conceived and the day he was born into the world. But in God he did not find any mistake.
Realise therefore that no person has done anything to you. It is the seed you planted that you also have to reap. You should realise here and now that as you are sitting down there, or lying down, or standing up or talking or interpreting, you will reap only what you have sown.
There is neither juju, nor mermaid, nor apparition, nor witchcraft, nor wisdom nor cunningness in this matter. Whether you hear this gospel and believe or not the truth will continue to prevail. The second lesson will now be received.
Second lesson: Ephesians 6:7- 8
"With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: Knowing that whatsoever good things any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free."
3.16 Sow sparingly and reap sparingly or sow bountifully and reap well
Brethren, you have read the above text. If you sow sparingly, you will also reap sparingly, but if you sow bountifully you will also harvest bountifully. Have you ever seen a thief being prosperous? Have you ever seen a prosperous necromancer? Have you ever found prosperity in the house of an evil man? You do not know that whatever besets you is the harvest of what you had sown. Therefore you are responsible for your own fortunes or misfortunes. That is why I plead with you that you should make effort to do that which is good in the sight of God throughout your life. From now onwards, do only that which is good in the sight of God. Do not be weary in doing what is good. Do not wait for somebody to come and ask you for help, or for somebody to come and thank or praise you or do anything for you. Do whatever good thing you know to any person and expect a bountiful reward from God.
Whatever I have brought same have I given to you. I have not received this words through visions or dream nor have I read them from any book. I am born with them. I want you people to receive this truth also. God is no respecter of any person neither does He love any person more than others. The situation is that you should endeavour to do that which is good in the sight of God. Whatever you do you will receive the same reward whether or not you are a freeborn or slave. Our Lord Jesus Christ passed through the mouth of Paul to say that if you bestow all your goods to feed the poor and give yourself to be burnt but if you have no charity it will not profit you anything. You go to Ghana and kill and steal money during launching you donate N20, 000, But on your way home you are involved in a fatal accident which claims your life. People will then complain and wonder what is really happening and why somebody who has just donated such an amount should die. Why do you blame God for anything? Is the person not harvesting the evil fruits of his sinfulness? You will then start to contemplate that if somebody who has just donated N20,000 and has received such a big ovation can afford to die like that, then those of us who have donated nothing will just vanish in the thin air. You are not saying that to God but to yourself.
3.17 The teachings of Christ are expatiated upon in this kingdom.
All those who speak evil against the Leader should pray fervently for themselves because a very great punishment awaits them. I have not come to judge any person. I am not the one who called you and I do not judge you. Whatever I am doing is exactly what I have come to do.
Our Lord Jesus Christ had said I have yet many things to say to you but you cannot bear them now; howbeit, when the Spirit of truth will come He will lead you to the accurate wisdom of truth; because He will not speak of His own, whatever He receives from me that will He release unto you. Through Him I will be glorified because whatever belongs to the Father is mine and that is why I say through Him I will be glorified. The question now is, am I the writer of those passages you have just read? Whatever I tell you are found in the passages of the Bible. From January to December every year, I base my lessons from Bible quotations Therefore I do not say anything from my own volition, all these are the words of God delivered from the Bible.
3.18 The Everlasting Gospel and God's kingdom
God has appointed time for everything and that is why this gospel is referred to as an Everlasting Gospel, the last of all the Gospels, after which none will be delivered. If you hear them, you will be saved, but if you refuse to hear them you will perish. I have not come to found a church or healing home or prayer house or to establish a worldly school. I have come to lead you to the accurate wisdom of truth as it is said the Comforter who is also the Holy Spirit which the Father will send in my name. He will teach you and bring to your remembrance whatsoever our Lord Jesus Christ had spoken I have come to teach you, to change you and to bestow this Kingdom of God unto you. This Kingdom of God is neither a tree, nor fish nor stone but it is made of human beings. As many as receive these teachings will follow me. If you have love, if you refrain from falsehood, anger, fornication and from any form of vice, it means you have fulfilled your own part of the obligation expected of you. So you will follow me unto the Kingdom.
3.19 Do not look for positions but do what is good
You are seeking after the position of a preacher, a student, an ordained, an elder, interpreter but, none of you seeks after righteousness. You call yourselves Jehovah, Christ, Spirit, Prophet. I am none of these, and I do not answer any of those names I am not an elder, I am not a prophet, I am not a priest. I am not God, I am not Christ, I am nothing. But one thing I do know which is very clear in mind, is that whatever a man sows same shall he reap. Continue to do good whether you are a freeborn or slave. I knew all these things when I was not up to 3 years old, and that is why I have no problem. People claim that Brotherhood is Beelzebub, they drink blood, they do not worship the true God and therefore is not a church. All these allegations do not bother me. What I know is that for everything you do, whether good or evil, you will receive your due reward. There is nothing good that can be found in me and I do not know anything. But whatever you see is being done by the Father. I have nothing; I have neither wisdom nor power nor anything at all, it is the Father who has power, wisdom and everything. In any case today is not the day for that. This is only by way of digression. But one thing I know is that whatever thing you are doing do it as you are doing it to God, whether you are freeborn or slave. I am telling you what is implied in the words of God. It is the Father who does everything; if He does not do anything then you cannot do anything. If the Father does not teach you, you cannot know; if He does not bestow you with wisdom you cannot be wise, if He does not think you cannot think and if He does not see and talk you cannot see and talk either. Therefore whatever thing you do, do it as using the power bestowed on you by God and that it is not through your own power.
3.20 Ability to do all things comes from God
Have you ever heard our Lord Jesus Christ say, “upon what I have done to people” He has never attributed anything to Himself. He always said that it is the Father who does everything.
When the people asked our Lord Jesus Christ whether it is expedient for any person to divorce his wife for whatever reason, what did He say? He said that God created both male and female. That a man shall leave the parents and be joined to another person and that whatever God has joined together, let no man put asunder. They then asked why Moses had ordered that a writ of divorce be written. Our Lord Jesus Christ said it was not so from the beginning but it is because of their unbelief. But I tell you that whoever divorces his wife and marries another woman has committed adultery and whoever marries the woman divorced has also committed adultery. His disciples became sad and said, if it is so, it is not proper for any person to marry. He said to them, to man everything is impossible but with God all things are possible, If the Father does not give you the ability there is nothing you can do.
3.21 Man is the architect of his life
As this gospel is being preached to you, if it pleases the Father and He gives you the ability, you will practise it and continue to do that which is good in the sight of God. You also boast for the ability to do anything. I have come to give judgement and to reward every person according to his work.
I believe that from today no body will come here to make any kind of allegation against any person that he is being worried by wizard, juju, mermaid or apparition. You should realise that you are the architect of whatever happens to you.
3.22 Leader Olumba Olumba Obu, the Supernatural Teacher
The primary mission of our Lord Jesus Christ was to come and shed His blood for the redemption of mankind. It was also said that He came to speak in parables and without parables will He not speak. That explains why He spoke only in parables. And that is why He made a categorical statement that the Comforter who is also the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name, He will teach you and bring to your remembrance whatever I have taught you. And therefore whatever was spoken and kept by our Lord Jesus Christ, I have come to expatiate to you. If the people had not asked Him whether it is expedient for any person to divorce his wife, He would not have made that statement. The case now is different from that of our Lord Jesus Christ. From January to December of every year, I teach and explain everything to you. I can explain a single word for more than a hundred years to you. The world does not know that I am a Doctor of words. A certain Reverend confessed that the Father is a Doctor of Theology because he found Him to be the only person who can explain and expound each verse and word of the Bible. That is why when you choose the passage I have chosen to preach, you will not be able to preach anything. Instead you will surely fumble. And it is for this reason the people of the world argue that we are using a different Bible from theirs. All the gospels I preach to you are contained in the Bible. If I read out a passage from the Bible now and want to explain and expatiate we shall not finish it in a year A certain sister who studied religion in Europe came to see the Father and when she heard the gospel, she confessed that the whites are wasting time claiming to be studying the Bible. They only re-echo the words of the Bible and explain nothing out of it. But here the Father explains every bit of words and brings it to your understanding.
The gospel imparted to you today is always true. Whatever a man sows same shall he reap whether he is bond or free, rich or poor, whether he is a man or woman. You are living witnesses to the fact that the reason this gospel is called Everlasting Gospel is that this is the last and it is here to be preached year-in year-out during the course of which it is expatiated, revised, referred and recapitulated. Whoever has ears to hear he will hear.
Moses came and preached but the people did not believe him; Noah and the rest of the prophets and even our Lord Jesus Christ also came and preached yet the people did not believe them until they departed. This time around it is not going to be like that. This is the Everlasting Gospel, if you miss it you miss your life. That is why we spend time to explain everything to you everyday for twenty-four hours and for 365 days a year. What do you think about this kind of situation? It is for your own good. If any other gospel has never performed wonders, this gospel will. Let the golden text be read.
Golden Text: Colossians 3: 24 25
“Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.”
3.23 If you take up the sword, you will perish by it
Most of you who are here now, those who introduced you to Brotherhood are no more here. Also most of the people you met here have all gone. That is why you will hear some people saying that they had once been in Brotherhood. What then caused them to backslide? You are aware of the fact that if you go to school and continue to fail every term, you will be expelled from the school. And at times when you realise that some of the subjects are so difficult that you cannot cope with you would withdraw. But the gospel of this day is as simple as A. B. C. This gospel does not require dream or vision or much grammar or speaking in many tongues. It is simple and clear that we should always do good since we shall be rewarded for whatever thing we do, for God is no respecter of any person. It is a thing of great pity for murderers because our Lord Jesus Christ had said that whoever takes up the sword will perish by it. Why then do you go about murdering and committing all forms of vices? Those who continue to indulge in sins should pray fervently for themselves. You can only have eternal life if you practise the word of God. If after committing fornication and other vices you go to pay tithe, that will serve no useful purpose to you. Whoever commits murder has no eternal life in him. Whoever commits any kind of sin has no everlasting life. To be forewarned is to be forearmed. You could use one water yam to set a trap for a wild-beast because when they break into the farm they will not destroy only one water yam, but several water yams.
3.24 God sees and knows everything
Since you realize that whatever you do you will receive your due reward from the hands of God, from now on let us continue to do what is good in the sight of God. In the past we though we were serving our parents and others. Whether you do to your father or mother know that you are not doing it to them but to yourself. You may be serving a master and what that means is that God uses these things to examine you to see of what service you could be. Whatever you do to your master, you will do the same thing to yourself.
All the civil servants are also passing through the same examination; all you do in the civil service whether they are good or evil, you will have your own reward. Whether your sins are visible or invisible. God knows and sees everything. Since God is no respecter of any person, if you commit any type of sin you will be punished. Whatever good things you have done whether they are seen or unseen, God sees them all and shall promptly reward you accordingly. Do not say any longer that you are serving God or man. Know that whatever thing you do whether good or evil, you do it to yourself.
There is no need speaking in parables, and do not argue that upon all the things you have done to somebody you are not properly rewarded. Know that whatever good thing you do is done to yourself. If you are founded on this truth you will not wait for somebody to tell you to do that which is good in the sight of God, you will not do that which is sinful and will not come into conflict with any person.
It is asked “whose work are you doing” and the reply came that “I am doing the work of God.” Do what you may if you do not have faith in God you cannot see that beautiful city. Therefore if you do not listen and practise this Gospel you are wasting your time.
3.25 Salvation is by grace
Remember when God sent prophet Isaiah to tell king Hezekiah that he should prepare himself and his house because he was going to die. On hearing the message, king Hezekiah turned to the wall and prayed saying "Oh Lord remember all the good things I had done for you in my youth, save me through them. Immediately. God remembered those good things and sent back Prophet Isaiah to tell Hezekiah that He had added 15 more years to him. The tithe you pay, the head you knock, the songs you sing and indeed every thing you do, is counted and credited to you for remembrance. God will not fail to repay you one by one for all the good things you have done. But for salvation, it is given to you by grace.
The government of God Almighty eludes the understanding of all. That was why, when the mother of the two sons of Zebedee requested our Lord Jesus Christ to command her two sons to be seated one on the right and the other on His left hand in His glory, He asked them, can you drink of the cup that I drink? They answered that they can drink and our Lord Jesus confirmed that they could. And He asked them again, can you be baptized with the baptism that I was baptized? And they said they could. Our Lord Jesus Christ confirmed but concluded by saying “sitting on my left or right hand is not mine to grant but it has been kept for those my Father had predestinated before the world was.”
3.26 If you sow evil, you will reap evil
Today we are only putting forward to you that whatever you sow the same shall you reap. There arc many other things we shall put forward to you some other day. God does not cheat or ill-treat any person. He cannot punish you when you have not committed any sin. He does not punish any person and He does not bless. The only thing is that whatever you sow the same shall you reap. He has only one day for His judgement. That is why it is said whatever you sow will you reap; if you sow what is good you will surely reap what is good and if you sow evil you will also be rewarded accordingly.
Tell the armed robbers, soothsayers, necromancers, deceivers, juju priests, liars and all those who continue in various vices that those are not the kind of work they should engage themselves in. That is why Our Lord Jesus had said whoever is filthy let him be filthy still, and whoever is unjust let him be unjust still. Whoever is pure should be pure still and whoever is upright should be upright still. I am coming quickly with my reward. That is why you are advised to do that which is good in the sight of God. Do not continue to boast that you are Brotherhood yet you continue to steal, and indulge in all kinds of sinfulness because you will receive your reward according to your work.
3.27 Repercussion of our actions
The problem here is misunderstanding. You always think whatever sins you committed before you came into Brotherhood will be blotted out as you come into Brotherhood. Since we have now known that it is for our good to do that which is good, we should continue to indulge in our goodness everyday from now onward, not only to yourself alone but to every person. That is why people continue to argue that whatever name you call the Father or whatever you do to Him, He will continue to call you and to bless you but you fail to know the implications of what you are doing that when the time comes you will reap exactly what you sowed.
Many people, even here in Brotherhood, continue to claim that they have been doing what is good to people all along and that it is high time they stop and then start doing evil like others. Remember that whoever takes up the sword will die by it. And that is why we have been advised that if a brother is taken in fault we who are spirited should use gentle spirit, and love and peace and bring thim back and while doing so we should be very careful so that we do not fall into the same temptation. If somebody is punished because of his sins do you also want to be punished because of your sins by continuing to commit them? That is why we are referred to as Brotherhood of the Cross and Star.
3.28 When you cheat any person you cheat yourself.
We should accept to bear all kinds of tribulations and afflictions, whether somebody has stolen our property, or has cursed us or has done us anything evil. Because the moment you become angry, or curse back when you are cursed you will also be punished. If a thief breaks into your house and steals ten naira he has not stolen your money but his because his ten naira will also be stolen. If you give money to somebody to the market to buy something for you and he buys something worth twenty naira but comes to tell you that is worth fifty naira he has deceived himself and not you. And if you give money to somebody to render certain service to you but he goes away with the money without rendering the service, he has not deceived you but himself. If somebody comes to tell you lies he has not lied to you but to himself. If somebody says the truth, he has not said it to yourself but to himself. Do not seek for assistance or help from any other person, but seek help by doing that which is good in the sight of God. Do not always call on God to save you because the good things you do will always save you.
Brethren, we do not want to be tedious with you. A stroke of the cane is sufficient unto the wise. Those who have ears let them hear. May God bless His holy words; Amen.
THANK YOU FATHER
