First lesson: Matthew 10:28

Take therefore no thought for the morrow; for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”
Nothing can happen without the divine will of the Almighty God and there is no event in the universe that takes God unawares.
All the hairs on our heads had been numbered and none can fall to the ground without the permission of God. We should not attribute any occurrence to mermaid, juju, demon, witchcraft or any creature of God, visible or invisible for they have no power over man. Rather, we should not commit sins; for, poverty, death, tribulation, anguish and various diseases come to us as a result of our sins.
Medical doctors, scientists, native doctors and juju priests should desist from giving names to certain sicknesses, fever, jaundice, leprosy, malaria; for, in doing so they are only identifying the effects and not the causes of the sicknesses.
Juju, demons, principalities, angels sickness, poverty afflictions, anguish, are angels empowered by God to chastise evildoers with famine, poverty, death etc. (Revelation 6-8).
"And I looked and behold a male horse, and His name that sat on him was Death and hell, followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death and with the beast of the earth.”
Revelation 2:20-23
"Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servant to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
And I gave her space to repent of her fornication and she repented not,
behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto everyone of you according to your works.
Brethren, that is what we are going to reveal to you. It is something like a pledge one has made with God. At anytime, before your coming to this plane of manifest, all that you will have to pass through had been pre-arranged. As it had been before the advent of our Lord Jesus Christ, all that was to befall Him had been written in Genesis and had to be fulfilled. Jeremiah wrote about what would happen. Job wrote about it, and Isaiah also wrote about what was to happen.
It is for this reason that it is said, "Take no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." The gloomy looks of a he-goat does not prevent it from being sold. It is rather too late for one to pray God to take one thing away, and bring another because all that which must happen to this generation had been prearranged, according to the Divine plan.
It is not, therefore, necessary for one to bother himself about what things will happen or what will not; or whether he will go into hiding at a particular place. Such a thing does not really matter. The simplest advice that should be given to you is that, you should not have any thoughts for tomorrow, for tomorrow shall have thought for the things of itself; sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Whatever you see in a day, do not ask any questions and do not doubt. Whatever you hear, do not doubt. Whatever you see do not be perturbed. Anything that happens had so been predestinated.
1.1 The events in this new world are repetitions of those before the advent of the Christ.
If we had believed these words, we would not have, had troubled minds about anything. But we should continually be thankful to the Father for whatever happens, because our Lord Jesus Christ had already predicted saying: if the world hates you, realize that the world first hated Me. If you were of the world, the world would have loved its own. But because I had selected you out of the world, that is why they hate you. Remember the words which I had spoken unto you; a messenger is not greater than his master. A servant is not greater than his lord. If they had believed in My words they would also believe in your words. If they did not believe My words, they would not believe in your words.
1.2 You cannot change the clock of destiny
Destiny operates in this generation. Whatever you see, there is no setting aside of, or taking away of anything. It is not something that one can run away from. It is not such a thing that one will decide to go and sign in or be initiated into. It is what has been kept in store for all the inhabitants of this generation. Therefore, whatever happens to one is what had been predestinated to happen. Whatever happens in your generation is what had been destined to happen during your time.
Our Lord Jesus Christ had sent to us, words of consolation right from the beginning of times, that we should fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather we should fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Why do you trouble your mind about tomorrow? When you hear the word of God, you shake and shiver. Why should you shake and shiver? The word of God belongs to man. Indeed it belongs to the children of God and must be fulfilled.
1.3 Perilous time lies ahead
Our Lord Jesus Christ had said, this generation will not pass away until everything is consummated. It is for us to thank the Father because all His words are being fulfilled. It is said, "This know also that perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, truce-breakers, false accuser, inconsistent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God.” Have you not seen all these predictions come true?
1.4 Fulfillment of destiny should be a thing of joy
It is a thing of joy for you and I. It is not a thing of sorrow. Not a thing that you should pray the Father to take away or set aside. All the things that had been prophesied are coming true day by day. It is, therefore, a thing of great joy for you and I. It is not a thing of sorrow or a thing to weep and lament about. It is a thing of joy. It is to strengthen our faith and make us really know that we are His people, and that of a truth, this is the fullness of time. We should not apportion blames to any man or to ourselves; or to anything. We should not question why there should be particular occurrence because it had already been told us that it will happen. We should believe in the word and stand firm by it.
There is nothing in this world that should come as a surprise to man. All the things that had happened to Our Lord Jesus Christ, none was a surprise to Him. What happened to John the Baptist did not also take, him unawares. All that happened to Elijah, none was accidental. Right from Genesis, there was nothing which happened which took any person by surprise. In the same way, of all that happens, there is none that should take one as a surprise, None is a mistake. .
1.5 Fulfillment of a prediction strengthens one's faith
Let no one murmur against God. Do not ask any more questions. Have no doubt in your hearts. It is for us to stand firm in His words because He has said everything. He has provided us with questions and answers. He has spoken about all that will happen which will be beneficial. It is a thing of joy to predict that on Sunday night there would be five persons in that hall and on Sunday night we find five persons. It will really be a thing of joy for us. It is also a thing of joy to predict that on Sunday night only twenty worshippers will be there and no more, and on that day it comes to pass exactly as it was predicted. When you see that there are exactly twenty people and you remember the predictions, your faith will be strengthened.
The testimony of Our Lord Jesus Christ is the Spirit of prophecy. The first lesson will now be read.
First lesson: Matthew 10:28
“And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”
Is that testimony not sufficient for us to live by? God says we should not fear any person neither should we be fearful of hunger, pestilence, imprisonment, sickness, death, anything at all. He says you should fear Him alone, because He alone can destroy your body and your soul in hell fire. That is why he has said you should only fear Him.
1.6 Do not fear any adverse conditions but fear God
Hunger can only torture the body and not the soul. Sickness can torture the body and not the soul. Poverty can torture your body as much as it likes but cannot torture the soul. Nakedness can torture your body as it likes, making people to comment on how one is going naked and how he is so lanky but it cannot torture your soul. Death can torment this body, but cannot affect the soul. It is, therefore, stated that you should neither fear death, nor sickness, nor nakedness but fear God for He alone is the one we ought to fear.
1.7 What can separate man from the love of God?
That is why Paul has asked, "what can separate me from the love of God," which is in Christ Jesus? He mentions death, hunger, sword, imprisonment. He mentions all other things including heights and depths. He concluded that none of those things could separate him from the love of God which is in Christ. That was why he conquered. That was why when he was given a vision that the owner of the girdle which the Prophet took would be tied in Jerusalem and would be imprisoned. He was not terrified. The Apostles persuaded him that since he had been told these things he should not go. He rebuked them and asked them to leave him alone and not cause his heart to tremble. He told them that it was not for imprisonment alone that he was going to Jerusalem but also to die. For that reason, they said since he could not comply it should be according to the Will of God. At the end was he not killed? Was his imprisonment not for the upliftment of the glory of God?
1.8 Allow the will of God to be done
Why do the people of this generation doubt the prophecies of God? Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself when Peter cut off the ear of one of the servants of the high priest, rebuked him and told him to put back his sword in its place for all that took up the sword would perish by the sword. And He added, "Do you think, that I cannot ask My Father, and He will presently send down twelve legions of angels." If that was done, how will it fulfill that which was written about.
You who constantly resist the will of the Holy Spirit, have you not realized that anybody who prays that God should take this or that away is a child of perdition, and an unbeliever. Let all that had been written come to fulfillment. Do not bother yourself. Do not wish that the rain should fall or should not fall, or that this year people should love you. Allow the will of God to be perfectly manifested in you.
Right from this time never you pray that God should give you food and that if He does not give you food. He should not allow people to ask where is that your God? What about the things predicted during the time of Our Lord Jesus Christ? Are they not re-appearing now? He said all that was said and done to me will be done to you. Therefore, if you are told, where is that your God, climb up the heights if you like. What had been must be.
1.9 If your master suffered, you must suffer with him.
When the Apostles of old were tormented, and beaten up, they jumped up for joy because they knew that all those were done to Him, as was spoken of by Him and they were written about them. It is a thing of joy for you and I to sing daily and rejoice. Because all that had been written about this generation, has" been fulfilled in us all. Why do you begin to plead for anything? It is said, but first he must suffer many things and be rejected of this generation. I want you to plead with God that, that prediction be taken away. I want all the inhabitants of the world to fast that it may not be fulfilled. I want you to fast as hard as you can so that God can take away that prediction though it was written in the Bible. I want you to write this in the pages of your newspapers. Allow this to be carried in the pages and the Editors should plead with God that people should not commit sin so that God can take away that prediction. Even if the message is televised or carried by the Radio, by posters and handbills, by circular and in the form of a communiqué, they will not serve any useful purpose, because, the will of God must actually be fulfilled. It appears that those, who are recalcitrant and disobedient, who refuse to believe in prophecies, should behave that way. But for us to whom the words belong, it is a thing of joy, and whenever we hear these words your hearts should be filled with joy.
I have a fervent belief that from now on, you will not fight against what you see, or lament, or ask any question, or question the rationale of such an event. Sometimes we complain that God does not love a certain person and ask why such a thing should happen to him upon all what the man had done. The question is, has it not been written about the event? Did God not say that such an event will take place? You some times argue that all those who did not accept it have now accepted it. Are you responsible for it? The second lesson will now be read so that you may fear the word of God.
Second lesson: Luke 17: 25
"But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.”
Brethren, how is it, have you heard what is read to you? Can you comprehend the lesson which has been read to you that you should take no thought of tomorrow, for tomorrow will take thought about the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof?
1.10 No cross no crown
Can you see what was written about the coming of the Son of Man? It is said, "first must he suffer many things and be rejected by the people of this generation." You fools, disobedient and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken, ought not Christ, to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory? Whatever God locks, no person can open and whatever God opens, no person can shut. . Never you doubt when God speaks. Caiaphas had said that they knew nothing; whether they did not consider it expedient for one person to die than the whole nation to perish. By this he was implying that when they killed Our Lord Jesus Christ, His followers would scatter and they would then remain in peace, instead of sparing his life to their detriment and destruction. "And this he spake not of himself but being the high priest that year, he prophesied that Our Lord Jesus Christ should die for that nation. It had already been prophesied that the shepherd will be struck and the sheep will scatter." But what happened at the end? Can you realize that what had happened to the life of Our Lord Jesus Christ was able to engulf all parts of the world and also prompted the unification of the children of men. It was what should have happened for the manifestation of the glory of God. In the same token, what you see from day to day are things which should occur in order to reveal the glory of God.
1.11 The name which was rejected is now a name for every household
Note that the Name, Olumba Olumba Obu was not at first received with any respect. As a matter of fact, there were certain persons in Brotherhood, who, at the mere mention of that name, would take their Bibles and Hymn books and walk away. I quite remember when the students brought the inscription Board of the Father's Name, (as you see at the altar,) from Lagos and mounted at the altar. They came to me at 26, Mbukpa Road to complain that the "big men" in Brotherhood accused them of causing trouble. That they should quickly remove the inscribed board. I told them to remove it immediately and throw away, that peace may prevail. Later on when the Name of the Father was mentioned in a song, they would remark; "have you started again? We do not worship any other person but the real Jesus."
1.12 Ignorant persons prefer devil to Brotherhood
When Brother Assassu Inyang Ibom wrote his first book, volume one of Beyond Prejudice, you are quite aware of what happened. Many people withdrew and went away to their houses that a new dimension had taken place. These are some of the things you have personally witnessed and according to a local adage, it is not good to tell rain stories to fire. It was a name no person wanted to hear about. If you were to tell any person that you were a Brotherhood member, he would expel you from his house. Because of that name, you were rejected by your father, and mother, and family, and village, and clan, and Local Government Area. You were summoned by your family that you should withdraw forthwith from Brotherhood because they did not want to hear anything about Brotherhood. They would even advise you to consult oracle and juju men, and initiate into Ekpo and Ekpe and any secret society, and also join mermaid, or secret or the juju society. They would warn that you should not be associated with Brotherhood. Sometimes you were contemplating within yourself, what this good man had done to the people that He should be so hated, and that as you went you did not see any abnormal thing. You did not see any charm or anything diabolical. But why are the worldly people so antagonistic against any good thing? Have you not heard what was written?
1.13 Only the will of God can prevail
Are you not surprised to observe the fulfillment of the gospel of God in your era? Can fasting set it aside? Do you think that sword, or money can take it away? Preach what you may, distribute money to a number of people, only the will of God will prevail. It relates neither to lamentation, nor to weeping and crying, but it is that the will of God must be fulfilled. I have deliberately shown this to you so that throughout your life time, you may not be troubled in mind.
What was written had been written. Why you see the whole world shaking and overturned is that, it was said, "first must he suffer many things and be rejected by the people of this generation." And Our Lord Jesus Christ said, "I am come in My Father's Name and you receive me not" If another person shall come "in his own name, you will receive him. A thief has come and you rejoice and receive him. You have received murderers and juju men, drunkards, swindlers. You have also received and rejoiced with magicians, undesirable fellows, men of reprobate mind, abominable men and men of questionable characters. But for "O.O.O." they all shouted that the name should be erased immediately because no person requires the name. There is no church denomination which has any need for "0.0.0." Any person who accepts it, does so with mixed feelings and can even complain whether Satan has now ruled the world? Some will even change and adjust the name with the name of Jesus the Christ and later on will realize that it is invincible and ever unconquerable.
1.14 You cannot be afflicted more than you can bear
Brethren, from the goings on, can you not see the brightness of the future? So that you may, at all times know that the word of God is always true, and so that you may not doubt your faith when people complain that Brotherhood reigns wherever you go. People did not want to hear it at first. Why is there noise everywhere now? Is this not what was written about it? The word of God is a two-edged sword. It is like water inside a canoe, it rolls forward and backwards. This explains why Saint Paul has said, "I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with glory which shall be revealed in us." I do not think that you can be afflicted more than you can bear. I do not even presume that you will be able to completely enjoy the glory which is kept for you. Have you heard the word of God which says, "first must he suffer many things and be rejected by the people of this generation"? After this there is an indication that there is something else. You realize that Brotherhood of the Cross and Star first converted thieves, fornicators, the disobedient, the recalcitrant, juju doctors, liars and unbelievers, trouble makers and many others. Wherever Brotherhood of the Cross and Star made its inroad, it first collected thieves, and liars, and fornicators, the disobedient, but did not collect any good man because none was seen. The disobedient and the recalcitrant were first gathered that they may not hear what was preached to them. Who was responsible for that? It was to fulfill that which was written, that first must he suffer many things and be rejected of the people of this generation. Some body preaches the word of God to them from January to December every year, and yet they do not hear. When it is preached that they should have love they rather hate, when it is preached that they should not fornicate, they continue to fornicate. Whatever they are forbidden from doing that they do. What they are told to do, they refuse to do.
1.15 Our names are no longer heard but Olumba Olumba Obu reigns supreme
This explains why Our Lord Jesus Christ asked His disciples, “Have I not chosen twelve of you, and one of you is a devil?” Do you think that God is mistaken to have selected you first? Whatever happens is what he has actually approved that it should come to pass. If all the inhabitants of the world embrace Brotherhood, doubt not. Neither you nor I is responsible, but it is what had been written. About twenty years ago, no person wanted to hear about Olumba Olumba Obu or did any person want to know about Brotherhood. But now, wherever you go to, it is the name reigning supreme. Brotherhood is now the topic for debate, discussion and argument. If you have not discussed about Brotherhood, it means that you have not yet started to argue.
1.16 A man's enemies shall be those of his household
That is why it is said, “heaven and earth will pass away, but the word of God will not pass away until it is consummated." Exercise patience, do not murmur. When you see somebody coming into Brotherhood as a new comer, what ever was done to you when you were a new comer will also be done to him. You will be rejected by your family. Your friends will turn against you and you will question whether, indeed, you have derailed from the path of rectitude? But at the end they all will come and fall at your knees and plead that you remember them .in your prayers. This is what was kept in store for you. Since the ways of God are so mysterious, they are incomprehensible, and no person should bother his head about it, because it is according to that which was written. Comfort yourself with these words. Do not bother yourself any longer with long period of fasting, and with long prayers, and with discontentment because everything happens according to what was written. It is said, “First must he suffer many things and be hated and rejected by the people of this generation”. Another scriptural passage has said that, “a man's foes shall be they of his own household.” All these have been fulfilled in this generation. Matthew 10:36 has confirmed that a man's enemies will be members of his household. Are these not fulfilled today?
1.17 Nothing has ever taken God by surprise
There were those who swore that even if they were to die they would not come to Brotherhood of the Cross and Star. If they die, their corpse should not be taken to Brotherhood. What has happened today? Have you not converted bethels of Brotherhood into your residences? You virtually live in bethel all day. These things occur so that you may know that He is the one. For it is not of him who wills nor of him who runs the race, but of God who has mercy for mankind. When it is to rain, do not pray that God should set rain aside. If there is sunshine do not pray that God should, take away sunshine. Whatever happens, is in accordance with His divine purpose that His Glory might be manifested. Nothing has ever taken God unawares and nothing is accidental to God. The golden text will now be read.

1.18 God will change us
Have you heard what is read to you? Do not listen to any person's advice. Forget all what people have done to you. Always do that which is good. Do not question yourself for not being able to practise the gospel upon all what has been preached to you. It is God who will change you within a twinkle of an eye. It has never been stated anywhere that man will reform himself, but the Bible clearly states that. God will change them within a twinkle of an eye. If you, therefore, change yourself. God will be a liar, but God is always true and there is no falsehood in Him.
1.19 There must be one flock under one shepherd
God has never called a man when he believes. He calls a man when he does not yet believe. Since He is the person who will change all those he has called, the Father has first invited soothsayers, sorcerers, juju men, and members of the secret societies. He has left behind church dignitaries like bishops and Archbishops, Cardinal, Pastors, Apostles and Church founders who are still gazing at the sky and waiting till our Lord Jesus Christ comes back. Sometimes, you may ask what will happen to certain church denominations which have been arch enemies of Brotherhood and its leadership. He says forget about it, because He does his things as he likes. He has said; other sheep I have which are not of this fold, them also I must bring and they shall hear my voice and there shall be one flock under one shepherd."
In this new Kingdom of God, you should not doubt anything. It is God who does everything. Do not think of anything, how it will come to pass and when it will happen, God will design everything by his divine purpose.
Already God has completed everything on earth. He has accomplished all His tasks on earth. He has kept everything in its order. It is only left for mankind to rejoice in the fulfillment of this in their generation, all that was written.
1.20 The Father is responsible for everything
Who should be responsible to this state of affairs? Human beings cannot do these things. People have used their money and tongue, and: wisdom of word and experience to cause the spread of Brotherhood but have not succeeded. The Father is however doing his own will* Others have gone on ministry work from town to town, village to village, house to house, and yet not much has been accomplished, but the Father has done tremendously well.
Where your letters cannot reach, and where you cannot reach, The Father has reached, and millions are now embracing the faith.
1.21 God has used even those who campaigned against Brotherhood to propagate the faith.
Sometimes you are worried because some church denominations are preaching against Brotherhood. What else could they do? Since you cannot preach to the people in such areas. God has used them to preach Brotherhood, so that those who have never heard about it, may hear because it is the intention of God that the whole world should receive this message.
Whatever you see in the kingdom, do not bother, because it is what has been written about the kingdom. Do not allow anything to trouble your heart. You do not have to make enquiries about them. It is your duty to watch and join the chorus. When the Father tunes the song you should join the chorus. When He sings the solo or duet, you have to join the chorus. Do not ask when the song will end, but always join the chorus for God knows when it will end. He begins and stops the music. We should, therefore, rejoice for what we see every day.
Brethren I have no intention of taking you afar. One stroke of the cane is sufficient for the wise. Those who have ears let them hear. May God bless his holy words; Amen.
