First lesson: Acts: 7:50-54
“Hath not my hand made all these things?
Ye stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye
Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? And they have slain which showed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:
Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.
When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth”.
Second lesson: Luke: 11:19-26
“And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore shall they be your judges.
But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you
When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are In peace:
But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divided his spoils.
He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathered not with me scattered.
When the unclean Spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.
And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished.
Then goeth he, and taken to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first”.

John answered and said, a man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven
Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am set before him.
He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.
He must increase, but I must decrease. He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.
And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.
He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true
For him whom God sent hath sent speaketh the words of God; for God giveth not the spirit by measure unto him.
The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand
He that believeth on the Son, hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him”.
8.1 If God is omnipresent, he need not move about.
Brethren, remain steadfast in your faith in Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, despite the world. They sometimes come to argue with you that Our Lord Jesus Christ was going about from place to place, but your Leader stays at one place. What is the difference between the system, adopted by Our Lord Jesus Christ, of going from one place to the other and the system of Leader Olumba Olumba Obu staying at one place? The Leader stays in one place and all eyes have seen Him. Those who populate the seas see Him, those in the sun and moon see Him, and the citizens of the countries all over the world have seen Him. Compare the person who moves about from one place to the other with the Father, who does not move from place to place to do His work? The man who moves about if he passes through Ikot Ishie, Calabar, Cross River State of Nigeria, the people of Ikot Ishie, will not see him again, neither will he be seen by people in Biakpan nor Lagos. But the Leader who stays in one place, sees everything and is seen everywhere. There is a great difference, but people continue to argue with you. Efik man often says it; “when a man is more handsome than you, you argue that it is because he washes in water. Right here is the water, go and wash and see if you will be handsome”. Leader Olumba Olumba Obu has a divine mission different from that of Our Lord Jesus Christ, so their power and mode of work differ too in relation with their mission.
8.2 You cannot declare anything except pre-ordained by God.
If the Pope could be declared as the Christ, and His name is mentioned and sung everywhere, the Roman Catholic members would have done so. The Apostolic would have followed suit. They would do as Brotherhood of the Cross and Star is doing now with the name of Leader Olumba Olumba Obu.
If the members of the secret society and soothsayers and necromancers now declare that the Pope is the Christ, there would be a riot. Do you have the guts of making such a declaration? No person and no group of persons can declare such except Brotherhood of the Cross and Star. How many Popes have died during the years? If you declare any man a “Jesus” today, he will be reported dead or sick of hypertension or diabetes, and tomorrow your “Jesus” will commit adultery. Where is the person who can open his mouth and declare himself a Jesus, who is he? Even if you give a hundred million to somebody to declare that another person is God, he will not be able to do it. Who will give him the mouth?
8.3 Man can receive nothing except he is given from above
After Our Lord Jesus Christ had been baptized, His disciples started baptizing people but the disciples of John grew annoyed and reported to their master that, the person he baptized the other day was himself baptizing others.
It was there and then that John rebuked them and told them, that a man can receive nothing, except it is given to him from heaven. Have you heard what is told you that no person can do anything except God gives him the ability. If the Father does not give you the ability, you cannot do anything. Who can ever do this work or make such a declaration and his head is not cut off from his body?
8.4 Learn from the impersonation of Herod
Remember that Herod arrayed himself in royal apparel, sat upon his throne and made an empty and vain oration unto the people, who all shouted that it is the voice of god and not of man. Immediately one angel of the Lord smote him because he gave not God the glory and he was eaten of worms and gave up the ghost. If you disagree, acclaim any person to be god, and you will not live to see the next hour.
Why did the people kill Our Lord Jesus Christ? It was because He said He was the Son of God. He did not acclaim Himself as God, but He said He was the Son of God. That was all. Why were Peter and the other apostles killed? They were killed because they declared that Our Lord Jesus Christ was the Son of God and that God caused Him to resurrect on the third day. This declaration was regarded as blasphemy and so they were commanded to be-killed, and they were all killed.
Why were Jeremiah and other prophets' cast into prison? It was because they declared that they were prophets of God, and that God sent them. So the people questioned who God was and ordered their arrest and imprisonment.
8.5 The Apostles and Prophets are here
What has happened today? People argue that Apostles are no more and prophets are no longer in existence. That is why I have given you these names, prophets, apostles, pastor, deaconess, to see what they can do, and also send you out to tell people what you are. Now you are answering such names in your offices and workshops. You are all recognised with these names. As if that was not enough, I again name you Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, which means the children of God. And now the whole world is silent. Who can ever make any comment? You are now declaring yourself the children of God, but no person opens his mouth to challenge what Our Lord Jesus Christ declared Himself and the people killed Him. You now declare yourself to be children of God and no person challenges you, instead they knock their-heads to worship God.
8.6 You are the sons of God
Jehovah God and His Christ passed through the mouth of Paul when he said "for the earnest expectation of the creature waits for the manifestation of the Sons of God." Now, are you not manifested as the sons of God throughout the world?
I now declare from the highest heaven that you all are the sons of God. The angels will arrest whoever does not declare you as sons of God. Now, you declare openly that Our Lord Jesus Christ has come back but some of you argue that he is not the Christ but the true God who created heaven and earth. Who argues with you? Have you ever come across anybody who admits that he has seen God face to face? All these are done so that you see the glory of God, the glory that He had before the world was.
8.7 God has a new name only known to Himself
It is not you making the declaration. I do not say I am God. I am not the Christ. I am not the king. I am nothing. I have never mentioned My name to you. But it is said! " "This is the Covenant that I will enter into with the house of Israel after those days. I will put my laws into their minds and write them in their hearts, and I will be to them a God and they shall be to me a people. And they shall not teach every man his neighbour and every man his brother to know God, for all shall know me from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more." Are these pronouncements not fulfilled today?
It is not surprising that today you are freely called the sons of God. Though the people regard it as blasphemous, yet they cannot do you any harm? The world mocks at your faith in the Father. You remain faithful and steadfast in the Holy Father. You started by saying that you have seen the Christ, and no person objected to it. As if that was not enough, you now say you have seen God, the Creator of heaven and earth. Still they do not seem to raise so much of their eyebrows. The only thing they say is that as you are so proud now, when your Leader dies, you will reach your wits end. They remind you that you have been hearing about the Jesus of Oyingbo, Lagos, who was arrested and probed by the government and everything taken away from him. The cane he used in whipping people in order to induce them to make donations was taken away from him. Do you still hear about him again? You have already heard of the Jesus of Ikot Ekpene. The government also probed him and he ran away. Do you hear any more of him?
8.8 But here in Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, God is in control
I am not Jesus, nor the Christ, neither am I God, nor a king, elder, pastor, or a bishop, I am nothing at all. But listen to the gospels and put them into practice. It is not the person who is recommended by man that is important but he who is recommended by God that is important. How will you refer to yourself as Our Lord Jesus Christ or as Jehovah God or the Christ?
8.9 No one can go to God except the Father holds him on
No person can do anything, and except God gives him the ability he can hardly do anything. Have I not been pleading with you not to sing the name Olumba Olumba Obu, but have you complied with my pleadings? If you were paid money to sing it, would you continue? The sinful acts I have asked you to refrain from have you refrained? I always urge you to refrain from exasperation, have you refrained?
When the Father gives you the ability, you will refrain. If the Father had not called all of you and held you firmly to Himself, who would have had the ability to remain in Brotherhood of the Cross and Star? Notice the warfare waged against us. People say all sorts of abominable statements against us falsely, yet you are steadfast in your songs and proclamations.
In a matrimonial home, if it is alleged that the husband is of the "Okpinon" Beellzebub group, the wife will pack her things and go away from the house, unless the husband, in the public, swears an oath that he has not initiated into the society. Even if he vindicates himself, by an oath, the wife will not live together with him again. But in our case, very serious allegations are made that Brotherhood of the Cross and Star drinks human blood; it is cannibalistic and all forms of evil utterances are made; yet you do not fidget but continue to stand firm. However you do not stand firm of your own but the Father who gives you the ability.
8.10 God holds us with strong hands
Your mother has rejected you for the sake of Brotherhood. Your husband rejects you because of Brotherhood. Your children, your village members, your co workers reject you for the sake of Brotherhood, but in spite of this you do not reject Brotherhood. Can you, therefore, realise that the ability is not human? The hands holding you on are very strong. Some people claim they hold firmly to God. But I tell you, that is erroneous because you cannot hold on to Him. Rather He is the One who holds us strongly to Himself.
If He were not to hold us, who are we that we would be here now? We are disgraced in the house, in the market, in the office, in the street, in the village square. We are spat on and treated disdainfully. You are forced to abdicate your rights in the family except you withdraw from Brotherhood. But in spite of all these, you continue to stand firm because the Father is holding you to Himself. Though we do not know how we came in here, do you not realise that we have no problems? It is the Father who keeps us. He calls. He blesses. He glorifies us.
Who am I, upon all the allegations, upon the insults, upon the infamous statements, upon the calculated calumny that should not run away or stumble and fall? But since the Father is in His Kingdom, nothing goes amiss.
You therefore, have the right to rejoice with the Father because no person has ever been faced from all fronts and he fails to run away or at least to surrender. But here, there is no problem at any time of the day. Every time people advise that you should not praise the Leader, but what can you do? It is the Father who holds on. He holds me. He holds all of us. He holds them, and He holds the entire world. Whoever advises you adversely, be patient with him, because the Father does not yet hold such person with His hands.
8.11 The Father Olumba Olumba Obu has forsaken the world
Before this time, every year, almost every two months, I used to go to Biakpan. But now the whole of Biakpan community has to come here to consult with the Father because it is 29 years now since I last went to Biakpan.
And during these 29 years I do not write an outside letter to any person nor do I ask about people or things. Hitherto, who would have stopped me from going to Biakpan for even one week? But now who is keeping me here? Is it not that Being? Has He given me the chance? The hands He holds, has He let me go? If He had let loose, would the enemies not laugh at Me? As young as I am, I do not put on a tie, nor drive a car, nor wear shoes, nor look at beautiful women, nor look for good food and good things of life. If it were a matter of choice, who would have chosen to carry such a burden? But since it is the Father's choice, the strong hands with which He holds me and you and all of us are tremendous and no man can resist.
General observation shows that, in our midst are found permanent secretaries, lawyers, millionaires, professors, beautiful women and handsome young men, all rolling on the ground ungrudgingly. And this proves most conclusively that if the Father were not to hold us on, no person would have been here. We should, therefore glorify God.
8.12 Intimidation does not save the world from God's hand
Notice that those who cannot stay on are not responsible. The Father does not give them the ability; He does not hold them on. If the Father does not call you, it will be impossible for you to be here.
If He does not give you the ability, it will be impossible for you to do all you do, the songs rendered, the dances performed. Upon all the world does to shake Brotherhood of the Cross and Star and exterminate it overnight, they cannot do anything because the Father does everything for us. He gives us power, protection and glorifies Himself in us.
Antagonists use the sword, gun, and money. They are governors and lawyers. They use diabolical things and are members of secret society. You have nothing and use nothing, but they are weeping and lamenting that Brotherhood of the Cross and Star has killed them. With what does Brotherhood of the Cross and Star kill them? Let us thank God, our Father, who call us all and holds us firmly with His mighty hands. Remain steadfast with the Father. Praise God always with all your heart and God our Father will see us successfully to the end.
Brethren, I have no intention of being tedious unto you. One stroke of the cane is sufficient for the wise. Those who have ears let them hear. May God bless His holy words. Amen.
