GOD OF THE NEW AGE

In the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, . In the Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, Now and for ever more. Amen. 9.1 The God of the Old Testament My dear brothers and sisters of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, I write to you today to bring into focus a new awareness of the importance of relating the events of our world today with the truth which our wonderful Father Olumba Olumba Obu is establishing on our planet and the role each one of us must play in this Divine Plan. Our Father calls the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star the Christ Universal Spiritual School of Practical Christianity, and I now understand what that means for all of us. When truth is established in us, it is most practical, because it sets us free, it has the power to change us and thus to change events that hitherto were quite beyond our ability to control. Before the advent of Christ, such truth and freedom had been lost. Humanity wallowed in and was imprisoned in the consciousness of Limitation, that Consciousness that accepted death, decay, disease, poverty, and sorrow as a natural condition of man. The "Old Testament Consciousness” prevailed and presented a God who neither forgave nor forgot. This Consciousness separated us from God, for to be separate was to be "safe" from such a Deity who had the power to strike at any moment and punish us for our transgressions. If and when calamity would befall (flood, famine, sickness, injury, death, sorrow) it was God's will. The sense of separation from God also separated us from one another. The truth of the oneness of life was obscured from our consciousness and we became godless and totally unaware of our divine destiny and our part to play in the divine plan. 9.2 There is spiritual separation now on We must be aware that this ''Separation's is clearly being expressed today in world history. We see a so called ''Holy Man" in the Middle East and in the world, who embodies this "Old Testament" consciousness perfectly. First of all we see a body there that is expressing all manners of Limitation. We observe one who is no respecter of persons or the law. The holding of innocent hostages for his own ends reflects this to the world. We see one who appears to be devoid of a sense of humanity, humour, and joy. Compare such a one with our own wonderful Father, Olumba Olumba Obu. Could there ever be such a contrast? Can you perceive the difference in Consciousness being expressed? Our Father has a physical body which is youthful, lean and fit, radiating perfect health. We hear His words which speak of mercy, forgiveness, reconciliation, love. We see One who respects all persons and abides by the law of the land and teaches us to do the same. We see One who radiates humour, joy and Life. Again we make compassions. This world, so called "Spiritual Leader” professes to "speaK for God” but, what: God is this? Is. this not the God of the old Testament who punishes, seeks revenge and frightens us? Where is the God of the New Testament? Where is the God of Love that Christ presented to us, the God who promises everlasting life? It is interesting to note that man in interpretation of God, accurately reflects his own spiritual understanding and development. 9.3 Spiritual transition is going on now We are at present in a transitional period of world history. It is a time of peril and danger, but it is also a time of unprecedented opportunity,.and challenge. Such a time calls for a spiritual impetus, which can make it possible to transcend limitation. It is a time when a world Teacher appears at the cyclic interval to lead mankind onwards and upwards on his spiral path towards His divine fulfillment. Such a Teacher has an awesome responsibility, a special task to perform. Jesus Christ was such a Teacher. His task was to reconcile flesh and blood perfectly with Divine Life and Power. He accomplished this and He proved that Resurrected Life here and now was the ultimate goal for all humanity. The new world Teacher has a different responsibility. He has come to reconcile opposite conditions; that is to reconcile self pity with compassion, envy with sonship, ambition with devotion, greed with endeavour, criticism with understanding, resentment with acceptance, rage with love. In so doing all barriers, which separated us from each other will gradually be broken. Separation will be a thing of the past, and we will truly embody Truth and Love. There is no male or female; no rich nor poor, no young nor old, black nor white, but we are all one in Jesus Christ. 9.4 The Holy Father is the Divine and new world Teacher There is no doubt in my heart that our wonderful Father Olumba Olumba Obu is the new world Teacher. It is not my mind, my intellect, which tells me brothers and sisters, but every fibre of my being, my cell which links with the Radiation and Love of our Father. It is quite beyond thoughts and words and my heart-felt prayer is that each one of you will know the Truth of His Divinity as I do. My life changed irrevocably and forever when I came into His physical presence. How incredible, how marvellous that my Teacher in the Spirit is my beloved Holy Father in the flesh. Our Father once told me that I was “so lucky” Could anything be more true? I set these truths before you because our Holy Father has given me this responsibility, and this privilege. I am not your teacher of course, but He is, and He wants us to be practical students of truth. He requires us to apply these truths to everyday life as we live it day by day. He asks and expects us to be responsible, to take our rightful place in the New Kingdom. We each have something to give that no one else can give. It requires dedication and discipline. It is also important for us to perceive world events in a new light. 9.5 God of the new age: The new Consciousness versus the old Consciousness We should be aware that we are seeing the conflict between the old Consciousness, which is revolutionary in nature, being exploitive, self serving, self protective, self insulating and the new consciousness which is evolutionary and expresses cooperation, love, sharing, unifying, and fusing. This conflict mirrors itself in human events. It is inevitable that the old must give way to the new for it is part of the divine plan. It helps us to know that “all things are working together for good to them that love God," As we work every day to become living receptacles of "Truth," as we put Light and Love into every cell and align ourselves perfectly with the Divine Life as Jesus Christ did, we will become the loving and willing instruments that our Holy Father Olumba Olumba Obu requires of us.
