Hymn 143

VERSE 1
O! My God, the omnipotent and the everlasting King
The gracious Father full of loving kindness, mercy and peace
The whole earth now proclaims Thee Lord to Thee deepest reverence pays
Thy Kingdom is everlasting, Thou rulest from sea to sea.

VERSE 2
For always before us have we set Thee oh Lord Olumba,
And with Thy mighty right hand are we upheld that we fall not,
Lord of lords art Thou and full of compassion and of mercy,
And the path of life showest us and from Thee our salvation.

VERSE 3
Therefore are we gladdened in hearts, our lips also praises show,
And our flesh also, in fullest hope, shall rest indeed be found;
For Thou wilt not leave our own souls in the abode of the dead,
And neither shall Thou leave Thy chosen ones to see corruption.

VERSE 4
Let us sing now praises to God who towards us is so good,
Who our heads annointed with oil setting us a class apart,
The remembrance of His mercy and goodness gladdens our hearts,
From captives, He sets us free and makes us now with Him to reign.
