Hymn 349

VERSE 1
Declareth most great Jehovah,
Behold the day is now at hand, beware,
When I shall declare a new covenant
With Israel’s house of Judah.

VERSE 2
The new covenant will not be
The covenant with your fathers I made,
When them I brought from the land of Egypt,
Into the land I promised.

VERSE 3
When the days then have come to pass,
I will put My laws into every heart,
Upon every heart will I write My laws;
Surely then, I’ll be their God.

VERSE 4
Then no man will his neighbour teach,
To know that Jehovah is a great God;
The knowledge of God, everyone will have;
They all will His people be.

VERSE 5
All their sins, Lo! I will forgive,
Their iniquities no more remembered,
Because of the new covenant I am
Giving this generation.

Amen
