Hymn 394

VERSE 1
I come to Thee with eyes filled with tears
I know you are able to give joy
My Lord, I know I worth no mercy
Father I beg Thee, have mercy on me.

VERSE 2
I come to Thee, my soul is restless
I know you are able to settle
My God I come before Thee humbly
I have no one to comfort me than Thee.

VERSE 3
I thought my want was the best for me
Now I know that my want is nothing
For me, my God, your wish is the best
O! Father, have mercy on me, I plead.

VERSE 4
I promise Thee I will not fall back
I have obtained your blessing and mark
My God strengthen my faith and my hope
So I’ll not go back to my former ways.

VERSE 5
My Lord my God I believe in Thee
My God I know you’ll never fail me
I know temptations will surely come
Father stand by me, Lord and hear my plea.
