Hymn 414

VERSE 1
Be near to me my gracious Lord of love and peace
In my distress now I am calling
Thy name only do I know
And before Thy feet I bow.

VERSE 2
The enemies have encompassed me all about
Look with pity upon me dear Lord
With Thy very loving eye,
And hold Thou me with Thy hands.

VERSE 3
All my hope is placed on Thee, O! Lord my Father
I rejoice in Thy great protection
And Thy graciousness for all
Thou art indeed, Lord of love.

VERSE 4
May I forever remain with Thee, dear Father
Throughout the day and throughout the night
Sleep and wake in peace, O! lord,
Praising Thee eternally.

Amen
