Hymn 51

VERSE 1
O! Thou Holy and most high God of all ages,
Creator who e'er was from the beginning,
God of all ages,
Mighty God, we, Thy praises ever keep singing,
For praise befits Thy name.

VERSE 2
And Thou has come down to earth in human likeness,
With a powerful new name, OlumbaObu
To teach us kindness;
O! Let glory and honour be to Thee alone,
Our Father Olumba.

VERSE 3
The time is at fullness when Thou, to reign, comest
Glory which has been Thine from the beginning
Is to Thee given;
And whosoever doth not love and honour Thee,
Is child of perdition.

VERSE 4
Darkness covereth us, the darkness of the soul
We were in bondage of the works of man’s hand;
O! behold us now;
When all hope of redemption had all disappeared
Lo! the Saviour appeared.

VERSE 5
Every eye now has seen the grace which Thou givest,
King of Kings and Lord, great Olumba Obu,
Glory be to Thee;
Reveal Thy identity for all men to know
Thee as the supreme King.
