VERSE 1
God of refuge and of strength
My present help in trouble
I’ll fear not though earth may shrink
With tumult mountains tremble.

VERSE 2
There is a river, whose streams
Make glad the city of God,
Which all creations esteem,
Holy place of most High God.

VERSE 3
Rightly amidst is the Lord,
And it shall never be moved,
Made to flow by graceful word,
God’s love cannot be removed.

VERSE 4
Behold the works of the Lord,
Make wars cease on earth below,
Shatters the spear, breaks the bow,
And with fire, burns charioteers.

VERSE 5
God, my refuge, hope and host,
Though earth quake breaks at mid sea
My Saviour’s wonders I’ll see;
With me, is the Lord of host.
