Hymn 569

VERSE 1
Brethren do not forget that one day something will change
A thousand years unto man is like one day to God.

VERSE 2
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise to man
As some people count slackness, for the Lord is patient.

VERSE 3
Endurance and patience are the answers to our needs
As Lord Jesus Christ endured and bore our grief in pain.

VERSE 4
The day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night
Passing without any sign, to show the ways of God.

VERSE 5
Look not up for Lord Jesus, yea! He is here on earth
The world’s still expecting Him to come down from heaven.

Amen
