Hymn 585

VERSE 1
Silent night, holy night of God,
Angels spread the tidings round;
Christ is born today in Bethlehem,
Emmanuel, our supreme God.

VERSE 2
God of host, is born in a manger,
Angels said to the Shepherds;
Lo! He's wrapped in white swaddling linen;
Glory be to God on high.

VERSE 3
The bright star in the Eastern sky,
Led the wise men on their way,
To where the Holy child was lying,
In manger, in Bethlehem.

VERSE 4
The wise men presented three gifts,
Precious gold, frankincense, myrrh
Hail the Christ's who's born in a manger;
Meek and lowly place He chose.

VERSE 5
Holy Child, the hope of mankind,
Light and life to us, He brings,
Salvation restored unto nations;
Born to give us peace on earth.

Amen
