VERSE 1
On the cross of calvary, the Lord died
Not just to die, but to set us free
He was mocked and also tortured
O! what a loving Father He is.

VERSE 2
The Lord was crowned with a crown full of thorns
He was judged by the chief priest and scribes
He was accused of many things
He was nailed on the cross for our sake.

VERSE 3
He was given vinegar when a thirst
He prayed the Father to forgive them
For they do not know what they do
O! what a loving Saviour He is.
