Hymn 694

VERSE 1
Early in the morning Mary Magdalene
Went unto the tomb to see the Lord and king
The Lord is risen from the death to life
Keys of death and hades are in His hands

VERSE 2
Why do you seek the living among the dead
The Lord is risen from death, as He promised
"The son of man will be tortured and killed
On the third day He will rise up again"

VERSE 3
Deceiver the Jews called Him, they doubted Him
When He said after three days I will arise
The Lord is risen from death unto life
Hosanna let us unto the Lord sing

VERSE 4
All pow’r to Him is giv'n to rule heav'n and earth
Death and hades have been subdued under Him
He is the Lord of the dead and living
Keys of death and hades are in His hands

Amen
