Hymn 696

VERSE 1
There is a great joy in heav’n
The son of our God is risen
He has conquered death and hades
Ye earth join in glorifying Him

VERSE 2
On the cross He spoke these words
Father forgive them of their sins
What greater love has anyone
To lay His precious life for sinners

VERSE 3
He is risen from the death
Triumphantly He conquered death
Join in praising His name, mankind
The son of God is risen from death

Amen
