Hymn 747

VERSE 1
Remember that it had been written
Concerning the last days;
It had been said that in the last days.
Seducers will appear.

VERSE 2
All the scoffers and mockers will come
And ask, "when cometh He,
He gave a promise that He would come,
Why does He not appear?"

VERSE 3
It pleases God not that man should perish,
Hence with long endurance
He waits for the repentance of man,
Ere He comes as a thief.

VERSE 4
Beware, let no man lead you astray;
The day of God is nigh;'
Lo! It shall be like the days of Noah,
Be ye not unaware.

Amen
