Hymn 770

VERSE 1
All things on earth are owned by the Father,
Who has no special shelter for Himself,
He provided a shelter for all things,
Birds of the air and foxes in the wood.

VERSE 2
Let not riches be your prime desire,
And suffer not the loss of thy birth right,
For wealth seeking leads on to perdition;
Learn a lesson from the birds of the air.

VERSE 3
The commandment the Father had given,
Is to seek first the kingdom of the Lord,
And has not changed this very covenant,
So be faithful, for the reward is sure.

VERSE 4
When you give up all the earthly riches,
The call answer to work in the vine yard,
And then allow that wealth you to attract,
Your work is vain, you run a losing race.

Amen
