VERSE 1
Love is the greatest commandment in this new Kingdom,
Whether you can speak with angels' tongue,
If you have not charity,
All your struggle is in vain.

VERSE 2
If you offer all your riches as a sacrifice,
And give all your money to the poor;
If you have not charity,
All your struggle is in vain.

VERSE 3
Charity is kind and patient and not conceited,
Neither selfish nor proud nor angry;
Love rejoices in the truth,
His own good, he seeketh not.

VERSE 4
He who practices love is worthy of the Kingdom,
'Tis mandatory to be generous,
That you may live with the Lord;
For eternal God is love.

VERSE 5
May all ye children abide in love for all the time;
The Father is love and has taught all
To practise love at all times,
For love covers everything.
