VERSE 1
Most gracious Father of mankind,
Who did make man in Thy image,
Thou art the Lord most high;
Before Thee is this couple,
Father, bless them all.

VERSE 2
By Thee, may they be united,
In love and faith, in thoughts and deeds,
As Thou and the world art,
May humility and peace,
Dwell among them both.

VERSE 3
Grant to them, Thy mercy and grace,
To remain with Thee all their lives;
In times of joy and grief,
Let not man put asunder,
What is bound by Thee.

VERSE 4
If Thou Lord buildest not the house,
The builder laboureth in vain;
Bind them in love and peace;
Over them, take dominion
And their home for e'er.

VERSE 5
Let Thy word in them richly dwell,
That marriage bed be not defiled,
But kept in holiness:
Whatsoever Thou bindest,
So must it remain.
