VERSE 1
When in the morning I wake
To see the dawn of day,
The Spirit of consciousness
Gives me hope and happiness.
VERSE 2
Father Olumba Obu
This morning I thank you
Lead me safely through this day
Let me slip not from Thy path
VERSE 3
The tenderness of new day
The dews of morning bliss
Lead me let me not astray
Lift me up with your spirit
VERSE 4
Almighty Father and King
Controller of my fate
Shine and chart my destiny
Give me joy and blissful day
VERSE 5
Let your blessing be our lot
Unto my soul this day
The blessing of good tidings
Lead me out of dreadful path
Amen
