VERSE 1
I surrender to Thee, Lord, this night,
To guard and to defend me
From fancies and terrors of the night,
While I am sleeping, I plead.

VERSE 2
I surrender to Thee, Lord, this night,
In the silence of darkness,
Spread Thou Thy wings on the defenceless,
Bring them to the break of day.

VERSE 3
I surrender to Thee, Lord, this night,
Thou alone can guard aright;
Guard, O! guard me, Thou great Redeemer;
Only on Thee, I depend.
