Hymn 961

VERSE 1
In this new year, Lord, my supplication is,
Let Thy goodness and peace be my fullest lot;
Let not the cares of this world be on my way,
For without Thee, my Lord, I struggle in vain.

VERSE 2
O! Prince of peace and King of heaven and earth
All that I have is Thine, both body and soul;
Deliver me, Lord, from all tribulations;
Let me always, O! Lord, magnify Thy name.

VERSE 3
Father Olumba, now as the year begins,
Firmly secure me by Thy own protection,
Let me walk under the shadow of Thy wings,
That I may be as Thou art by Thy goodness.

Amen
