Hymn 969

VERSE 1
In this new and eventful year of God,
O! Olumba, may we not go astray;
When the tempest rages high, O! My God
Cover us with Thy wings of love, we pray.

VERSE 2
In this new and eventful year of God
We meekly surrender ourselves to Thee
If the world is seeking us to devour
May we depart not from Thee, great Saviour.

VERSE 3
In this new and eventful year of God
No other refuge have we, Lord, but Thee
Thou Lord, alone, art our only shelter
In war, Thou art our only defender

VERSE 4
In this new and eventful year of God
Grant us to be Brotherhood in essence
Though the world, against Thy children may fight
May we win in the battle by Thy might.

Amen
