Hymn 266

VERSE 1
I have seen a friend so precious to me;
Inexplicable His love for me,
The Lord loves me so dearly and tenderly,
His love is pure, simple and peaceful.

VERSE 2
He loves me ere I knew He was in me,
He cares for all the needs in my life,
In sickness, in want, He is there to comfort,
Such a faithful friend never is seen.

VERSE 3
He loves, me till He laid His own dear life,
On the Cross for my sins, that I may,
Salvation gain from God; such love never heard,
Such a faithful friend never yet seen.

VERSE 4
Jesus Christ my Saviour, my Precious Friend,
And my God, He’s so good, none like Him
In heaven and on earth; His blood on the Cross
Has redeemed me unto God for e’er.

Amen
