VERSE 1
Thou art the God of my strength
Why dost Thou abandon me?
Why should I go sorrowfully,
While the enemy afflicts me?
VERSE 2
Grant me Thy light and Thy truth;
Let them lead me tenderly,
Bring me unto Thy Holy hill,
And unto Thy tabernacle.
VERSE 3
Lord to Thy altar I come,
Thou art my exceeding joy;
I will praise Thee, O! Lord my God,
Thou art my life and salvation.
VERSE 4
Why so downcast, O! My soul?
Why do you sigh within me?
Put your hope in God, whom I praise,
For He is my Saviour and God.
