Hymn 404

VERSE 1
Thou art Almighty Father,
Hold us firmly in Thy hand:
We cannot hold Thee on our own,
Lest, perhaps, we fall away.

VERSE 2
When Thou speakest words divine,
Grant us the understanding,
That the accompanying blessings
Be of benefit to us.

VERSE 3
Most Holy and mighty God,
Sanctify us by Thy word,
May we no more wear old garment,
Worthy, we may be of Thee.

VERSE 4
Spiritually, strengthen us
Father, as we hear Thy word;
Grant us the might to spread the same,
Unto the hardened hearted.

VERSE 5
Father, keep us marching on,
That we may not lag behind;
From the beginning we were Thine,
Thine, we all long to remain.

Amen
