Hymn 425

VERSE 1
When enemies, my soul threaten,
Great Lord, on Thee I call
Descend Great Spirit, descend! By Thee
Shall all enemies fall.

VERSE 2
Help me the path of truth to tread;
Be Thou my guide and stay;
Let not, O! God, evil be my sport;
Thy will be done, I pray.

VERSE 3
Blindly, I had Thy call declined;
Still with me, Thou pleadest;
Now, to Thy voice, Lord, I am inclined;
By Thy love, I am freed.

VERSE 4
Come Great Spirit, with flushing wings,
Wash away all my sins
Endow me still with Thy blessings, Lord;
Now, Thy Light I have seen.

VERSE 5
Unto Thee I lift up my soul,
O! my Great Redeemer
Sanctified by Thee, I am made whole.
O! Lord, my Father, be.

Amen
