Hymn 448

VERSE 1
In this Thy day Lord Olumba Obu,
In reverence, we’re pleading with Thee,
Grant that we be one in thought, words and deeds,
And cleanse us from guilt, we pray.

VERSE 2
Ever be with us in what e'er we do,
Even in pray'rs offered to Thee;
Let Thy Spirit be a lamp to our path,
Darkness to dispel from us.

VERSE 3
When we cast Thy word in this world, O! Lord,
Be Thou our guide, the word as well;
Make the stony heart in obedience bow;
Grant that Thy sheep they may be.

VERSE 4
Throughout our lives here, draw us nearer Thee,
Endowed with hearts, contrite and pure,
Thee may we follow whole-heartedly Lord;
Make us wholly Thine, Father.

VERSE 5
In our daily lives, may we love Thee more,
Be always ready to obey.
And answer Thy call any time and place;
Hearken to us, Olumba.
