Hymn 449

VERSE 1
Come, Holy Spirit of God,
And within our hearts, abide,
Thus wash us clean, Thou filtering tide,
O! make us fit to be Thine.

VERSE 2
Come, Holy Spirit of God,
Like a sacrificial flame,
May we embrace Thy perfect peace;
O! make us fit to be Thine.

VERSE 3
May Thy Spirit O! Father,
Ever shine like the sun's rays,
Darkness and lust driving away
From our hearts, making us chaste.

VERSE 4
Let Thy Spirit, O! Father
Through the night and all the day,
Prevent us from going astray;
Guide and keep, watch over us.

Amen
