Hymn 456

VERSE 1
When in desperate moments of life,
Around me, hopelessness all surrounds,
Father, from Thee I ask for aid,
Thou who hearest pray’rs.

VERSE 2
Father, when I meditate on Thee,
Speak Thou to me with Thy voice divine,
That in Thy peace I may rejoice,
For Thou art with me.

VERSE 3
In time of famine, when hunger strikes,
Supply Thy children with food, dear Lord,
To comfort us in our distress,
Lord of abundance.

VERSE 4
Let me, dear Father, Thy goodness see,
For all things on earth belong to Thee,
From Thy divine store house, fill me,
Giver of good gifts.

Amen
