Hymn 47

VERSE 1
Let honour, all to the Father be,
For the wondrous love He has for all
He comes down on earth among men to dwell
In flesh and blood, our form He takes.

VERSE 2
We do rejoice in the clarion call
Inviting all into His Kingdom
No more worldly cares, no tribulation
We’ll reign with Him eternally.

VERSE 3
His sheep we are though counted but lost
In satan’s bondage, we stood condemned
His redeeming grace on us did descend
We are set free by His great love.

VERSE 4
We give Thee thanks, Thou Holy Father
It is because of Thy coming down
That we are made free to move here on earth
The deceiver is now ashamed.

VERSE 5
Those who accept Him are deep in joy
While those who don't,toil after the signs
Vainly searching for the Lord in the sky
Who comes like a thief in the night.

Amen
