Hymn 601

VERSE 1
Behold, a Child is born today
Lo! He is wrapped in swaddling cloth
In a manger, on stable laid,
Yea, in a lowly place.

VERSE 2
Hear the good tidings rung today,
There is great joy upon the earth
Among men and angels on high,
All hail the Saviour's birth.

VERSE 3
The joyous music, listen to
Christ, the Saviour is born today
In Bethlehem, in a manger
Sing and rejoice, “I say.”

VERSE 4
Come with your presents to the child,
Come with gold, myrrh and frankincense;
As was done by the three wise men,
Appreciating the child.

VERSE 5
Let glory be to the Father,
Let peace abide with men on earth
On whom the Father’s favour is
For ever and ever.

Amen
