Hymn 600

VERSE 1
Heavenly voices were heard here
On earth all singing,
Shouting hosanna to the Lord,
Praising with gladness.

VERSE 2
Glory be to God the Father,
On high they all sang,
And peace be to all men on earth,
Those that do believe.

VERSE 3
The begotten Son of God was,
Born in Bethlehem;
From nations and tribes men had come
To give Him honour.

VERSE 4
In the sky appeared a great sign,
And they all saw it;
Behold Emmanuel, the Saviour
Was born for mankind.

VERSE 5
When King Herod learnt of the truth,
He was sore aggrieved;
Sent emissaries to confirm,
The birth of the Lord.

VERSE 6
The righteous gov’ment is on the
Shoulders of the Lord;
The Saviour of all is with us;
Let’s sing hosanna.

Amen
