Hymn 599

VERSE 1
In a stable in Bethlehem,
The righteous Lord of all is born;
With white linen, the Child was wrapped;
And laid in a manger.

VERSE 2
Behold, a sign on high appeared,
A glorious star shone from the east,
And led the wise men safely on,
To where the child was laid.

VERSE 3
Honour and glory to the Lord,
Peace and goodwill to all below,
For unto us a King is born,
Emmanuel is His name.

VERSE 4
Gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh,
Presents are for the Lord of life;
Your gifts, offer with loving hearts;
He is our Redeemer.

Amen
