VERSE 1
Lo! A child is born in a manger,
Wrapped with a linen of sparkling whites
The sign of His birth now appears
Over the Eastern sky.

VERSE 2
The three great wise men all from the East,
Beheld the sign of His birth on high;
They came with gifts unto the child,
Gold, myrrh and frankincense.

VERSE 3
To the shepherds, an angel appeared
Saying! “fear not, I bring good tidings,”
This day is born in a manger,
A child, the Messiah.

VERSE 4
Glory and honour to Him belong,
Yea, He has come to redeem mankind;
Sing praises to the new born King;
All hail the Saviour's birth.

VERSE 5
Let's give glory to the Most High God,
And let peace be to men of goodwill.
The hosts on high sing Hosanna,
The Messiah is born..
