VERSE 1
Jesus the Saviour, Redeemer of mankind
On the cross, suffered to save the whole world from sin.

VERSE 2
There on calvary Jesus Christ Son of God
Was nailed on the tree, He shed His blood for man’s sake.

VERSE 3
His hands, feet and head was wounded by the Jews
With a spear His side was pierced, what a shameful death.

VERSE 4
Seven words of love Jesus spoke on the cross
Forgive them Father, they know not what they have done.

VERSE 5
I thirst, He shouted, they gave Him vinegar
He drank not, our Lord suffered in the hands of men.

VERSE 6
Father, into Thy hands I commit my soul
Jesus Christ shouted, behold He gave up the ghost.
