Hymn 639

VERSE 1
He gave His Life, because of love
Father forgive them, He requested
For they do not know what they have done
To save the world, the Lord gave His life.

VERSE 2
He was beaten, they mocked at Him
On His head, they put a crown of thorn
They parted the garment of the Lord
The Lord never uttered any word.

VERSE 3
The passers by reviled the Lord
He saved others, Himself, He can’t save
If you are really King of the Jews
Come down from the cross and save yourself.

VERSE 4
He bowed, darkness covered the earth
He uttered words, the earth was shaken
O! let the earth now rejoice in Him
We are free from the bondage of sin.

Amen
