Hymn 671

VERSE 1
Christ, our Lord, today is risen,
Fulfilled are His promises;
With gladdened hearts, let all rejoice;
Christ has conquered death and grave.

VERSE 2
Go ye and tell the disciples,
That before you He goeth
To the city of Galilee;
Christ is risen from the death.

VERSE 3
His sorrowful words are fulfilled,
"They shall lay hold on my life,
Just to torture and put to death,
But the third day, I shall rise".

VERSE 4
All pow’r in heaven and on earth,
Are given to Him alone,
And they who in Him put their trust,
Shall but live in perfect peace.

VERSE 5
We were bought with the blood of Christ
Flowing from His head and side
Through His awful pains on the cross
We are freed from pangs of death.

Amen
