Hymn 683

VERSE 1
Our Lord Jesus is risen from the death
And ascended to heaven
As was written by the prophets
The scripture is now fulfilled.

VERSE 2
He has conquered and foiled the sting of death
So, there shall be no more death
The former things have passed away
New things have come to exist.

VERSE 3
His mission was to wash away our sins
We are therefore purified
We have all been cleansed by His blood
Jesus the Christ, the Saviour.

VERSE 4
Hallelujah let’s glorify the Lord
Shout hosanna to the Lord
Our Redeemer has conquered death
Jesus the Christ is risen.

Amen
