Hymn 685

VERSE 1
Make a joyful noise, for in This gladsome morning
Christ hath broken the tyrant’s chain,
Yea! Death and sin no more shall reign;
Christ is risen from death.

VERSE 2
He’s risen from death , let the chosen of the Lord
Shout with a loud voice and proclaim
Throughout the wide world, His vict'ry;
He is risen from death

VERSE 3
He’s risen from death, He has conquered death and grave
With boundless joy our hearts are filled;
The prophesy of God's fulfilled;
He is risen from death.

VERSE 4
He has conquered death, Christ the son of God most high
Hallelujah! He's victorious,
He left His throne, though most glorious,
'Cause of love unto man.

VERSE 5
These words are fulfilled, “if this temple, you destroy
Only in three days I'll rebuild”.
Lo! The atoning death did prove,
He is risen again.

Amen
