VERSE 1
There is a great joy on earth today
The long expected comforter,
The redeemer of human race
Is born to rule the world.
VERSE 2
In the continent of Africa
The Lord in human form is born
Nigeria the nation chosen
Let us His praises sing.
VERSE 3
In flesh and blood, the Saviour is born
The lost paradise to restore
And man’s lost glory to regain
A new kingdom revealed.
VERSE 4
Let all the choirs in heaven and earth
In blended voices, praise the Lord
worthy is the Lamb to receive
Majesty and honour.
Amen
