Hymn 727

VERSE 1
How sweet the name of Olumba sounds
In the ears of those that do believe
'Tis a new name hidden from the world:
Lo! His chosen ones do rejoice in Him.

VERSE 2
Lo! The Lord God of our fore-fathers.
Which wrought wonders for His chosen ones,
Has now come down in the form of man,
Fulfilling His words in the book of life.

VERSE 3
Earth and heaven, and all that therein,
Join in His praise and exalt His name,
The true God, Alpha and Omega,
Has come down to dwell in likeness of man.

VERSE 4
God of ages has taken our form,
With a new name which now suits His fame;
He is to rule with an iron rod;
To reign for ever, with the words of love.

VERSE 5
Let the nations now come to the Lord,
The one whose love can cover our sins,
He is the rock on which we must stand,
Father Olumba, the new name of God.

Amen
