Hymn 762

VERSE 1
In the beginning was the word
And the word was the Lord Himself
The same was in the beginning
All things were made by Him alone.
And the word was made flesh on earth
Among men here to dwell on earth
As the only begotten son
Full of grace and real truth and love.

VERSE 2
In Him was life, in Him was light
And the light was the life of men
In darkness shineth this great light
And it comprehended it not
The true light which lead every man
That comes into the world of men
He came unto His own as flesh
But His own recieveth Him not.

VERSE 3
But unto them who received Him
He gave them pow’r as sons of God
Which were born not of blood or flesh
Not of the will of man, but God
And all who believe in His name
Peace, love and joy to them, He gives
To them that recieveth Him not
Forgiveness He prayed the Father.

Amen
