Hymn 775

VERSE 1
Thy word, Lord of heav'n and earth,
Is the path indeed of truth,
Which gives life, humility and faith to sinful men;
May Thy word, Lord, dwell in the hearts
Of Thy chosen ones.

VERSE 2
Thy word, show'rs of blessing is,
To the soul that truly mourns;
Grant that we not only hearers be, of Thy gospel:
Give us all, Lord, the ears to hear
And practise Thy word.

VERSE 3
Thy word’s the water of life,
Cleansing our iniquities;
Let not Satan, the deceiver, have a place in us;
May Thy Holy Spirit, Lord be
Our guide through Thy word.

VERSE 4
Thy word is the radiant light,
Shining in the hearts of men,
Dispelling darkness, sickness and fear from us in life;
Make our hearts Lord, Thy dwelling place
Now and ever more.

Amen
